(Lily POV)

My hands shook as I clutched the note from Sarah, its words burned into my brain: He’s lying to you, just like Alex did. What is the message really about? Everything is just confusing right now and I can't seem to get my mind off it because it is categorically occupied.

I sat in Tony’s mansion, the silence heavy, my heart racing. Was Tony playing me? His kindness, his steady hand at the gala, was it all a lie? Alex’s voice echoed in my head: You’re nothing, Lily. I wanted to trust Tony, but doubt clawed at me. I don't know whom to trust again.

“Lily?” Tony’s voice broke through. He stood in the doorway, his dark eyes soft but worried. “You’ve been quiet all morning. What’s wrong?”

I shoved the note deeper into my pocket, my throat tight. “Nothing,” I lied, forcing a smile. “Just… tired.”

He frowned, stepping closer. “Don’t do that. Don’t shut me out.”

His words hit hard, and I looked away, my chest aching. I wanted to tell him about the note, to demand the truth, but fear

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    Shadows Cast Out

Lily's POVThe private investigator's office smelled like stale coffee and broken promises. I sat across from Marcus Chen, a thin man with kind eyes and calloused hands, watching him flip through a stack of documents that supposedly contained my entire life story."Mrs. Stark," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "I have to be honest with you. What you're asking for... it's not going to be easy."I leaned forward, my hands clasped tightly in my lap. "I need to know the truth about my past. There are things that don't add up, memories that feel like they belong to someone else."Marcus nodded slowly. "I ran a preliminary search on your birth records. The file exists, but it's sealed under a different name. Court-ordered. That usually means adoption, witness protection, or..." He paused, studying my face. "Are you sure you want to go down this road?""What do you mean, a different name?""The birth certificate on file lists you as Lily Marie Castellano, not Lily Marie Parker like you've

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    What lies about

Tony's POVThe manila envelope sat on my desk like a ticking bomb. Three days had passed since Dr. Martinez had called, and I still couldn't bring myself to open it. The DNA results were inside, answers to questions I have been asking for months. But knowing the truth and being ready for it were two different things entirely.I picked up the envelope for the hundredth time, my fingers tracing the edge of the seal. What if I was wrong? What if the resemblance between Lily and Anna was just my guilt-ridden mind playing tricks on me? But what if I was right? The thought of telling Lily the truth made my stomach churn. She was finally starting to heal, starting to trust again. If I was right about who she really was, it would destroy everything we'd built together. Everything she'd built within herself.I shoved the envelope into my desk drawer and locked it. Not today. Maybe not ever.My phone buzzed with a text from my assistant: "Reminder: Dinner with the Morrison Group at 7 PM. Should

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    A Trail of Doubt

Lily's POVThe days following the gala blurred together like watercolors in the rain. Tony had been everything a woman could want attentive, caring, protective. He brought me coffee in the mornings just the way I liked it, listened when I talked about my fears, and never once made me feel like I was too much or too broken. But that was the problem, wasn't it? It was all too perfect.I sat in the garden behind his mansion, watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of orange and pink. The beauty of it should have been comforting, but instead, it felt like a mockery. How could something so lovely exist in a world that had shown me nothing but cruelty?"You're thinking too hard again," Tony's voice came from behind me.I turned to find him approaching with two glasses of wine, his smile warm and genuine. Or was it? Lately, I couldn't tell anymore. Every gesture, every kindness felt like it could be hiding something darker underneath."Just enjoying the view," I said, accepting the glas

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    Whispers of Motives

(Tony POV)Lily’s face haunted me as I drove us back to the mansion, the city lights blurring past. The way she’d frozen at the gala, Alex’s cruel words cutting her down, stirred something in me I hadn’t felt in years.Protective, yeah, but more than that, a pull I don't want to name. Her eyes, wide with fear and defiance, stuck with me. I’d promised to help her, to destroy Alex, but everything is looking really confusing right now. I have a feeling that serah knows something, something I can't really phantom.Inside the mansion, Lily sat on the couch, her clutch clutched tight, her face pale. “You okay?” I asked, keeping my voice steady. She nodded, but her eyes darted away. “Just… shaken. Alex always knows how to get under my skin.”I sat across from her, fighting the urge to pull her close. “He’s a coward, Lily. He tears you down to feel big. Don’t let him win.”Her lips trembled, and she looked at me, searching. “You really believe I can do this? Be… Mrs. Stark?”The vulnerability

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    The First Dance

Lily POV)My heart pounded as I stepped into the ballroom, the chandeliers casting light that made my black gown shimmer with dimming light.I felt like a fraud, dressed up as Tony Stark’s wife, when all I could hear was Alex’s voice in my head: You’re nothing, Lily. Pathetic. Seven years of his words cut deep, and now I was surrounded by rich people who’d see right through me. My hands shook, clutching my clutch too tight.“Lily, you’ve got this,” Tony said, his voice low and steady. His hand rested on my lower back, warm and firm, sending a spark through me that I didn’t expect. It felt safe, but dangerous too, like I was stepping into something I couldn’t control.“I don’t belong here,” I whispered, scanning the crowd. Men in tuxes, women in glittering dresses, all laughing and sipping champagne. “They’ll know I’m faking it, it's all written all over me.”“They’ll see what we show them,” Tony said, his dark eyes locking on mine. “A strong, beautiful woman. My wife. Head up, smile.”
