After he left I felt sort of numb from the lack of his presence. I wanted to bask in his presence at every chance I get. Not to sit on the sidelines, and wait for him to notice that I'm not happy that he left me here. I should have said something and just gone with him. Bridgette stands next to me in the kitchen as I try to breathe and count down. Trying to calm my nerves and not flip my shit in front of everyone in this house. I knew it was her. I knew it when I met her, in 54 BC. The rest of the soldiers I was in charge of were coming back to Greece after another battle. I saw her walking across a cobblestone road with a rather large brown vase in her hands. It was like her heart had beckoned to me and I answered its call. Chloris stood to the side as she brought out a small book with leather binding.
