Chapter 80

Harry and Kath's reunion was marked by intense emotions, a mixture of joy, relief and love. 

Harry held the woman he thought he had lost with special care, as if he feared she might slip out of his arms at any moment.

"My love!" He spoke, pulling away to look at her face, caressing every bit of it, as if to make sure it was real. Like him, she was much thinner, haggard and with dark circles under her eyes that her make-up couldn't completely disguise, but she was still beautiful, illuminated by the late afternoon sun.

"I'm sorry for the pain I put you through." She begged, wetting his fingers with tears.

"You don't have to apologize for anything, Kath. I'm just glad to have you back," Harry whispered, as he hugged her tightly. His words were a balm to Kath's heart, and she felt grateful to have such a true love by her side.

The intertwining of fingers and the tears that marked Kath's face were silent witnesses to the suffering they had both endured
