'A mansion for 2 million dollars? She must have a substantial amount of money if she could afford that,' Warren thought.
"So is she coming to join us then? It would be an honor to meet such a great person," Warren said embarrassedly as he laughed.
"Don't be so flustered, she is a rather down to earth person. She's already at the venue of the function, so she will only be able to join us in 1o minutes. In the meantime we could order so long."
Warren didn't know what to think. He only wanted to spend some time alone with Cassidy. Although there were no romantic sparks flying in the air, it was the only opportunity he had to talk to someone as beautiful as her. If her sister were to arrive then the half hour they had left before the function began would be wasted. He would most probably be relegated to being the third wheel when Cassidy and her sister started talking.
At that moment a Porsche Taycan arrived at the entrance of The Light Dome. The owner was a classy and beautiful woman. Her beauty is on par with Cassidy, and she also seemed more mature than her.
She greeted the waitress and were immediately brought towards the private dining room on the third floor. There she saw her sister sitting with an unfamiliar face. That person was dressed in a suit which most probably only cost around 80 dollars. 'How many times do I have to tell Cassidy to stop being friends with people of such an economical background. From one glance, even I can tell how poor he is," Claire thought.
She walked towards the pair and greeted Cassidy. She hugged her little sister and smiled while saying "Someone looks beautiful today. Given the occasion, it makes sense why you would dress up like this."
Cassidy laughed and said "It's your special day. You are the one we're celebrating today."
There was a mischievous smile on Claire's face. It seemed like she knew about something that Cassidy didn't.
"Big sis, this is my classmate from high school. His name is Warren Cole."
Not wanting to embarrass her younger sister, Claire looked at Warren and greeted indifferently "Nice to meet you."
Warren could tell that Claire didn't have a high opinion of him. However, there was nothing he could do about it. Especially when the person in front of him could afford a mansion of two million dollars without batting an eye.
"The honor is all mine, Miss Smith," Warren greeted politely.
"Actually, it is Mrs Evans. She has been married for a few years now. So she doesn't go by her maiden name anymore," Cassidy said proudly. Her sister married into such a rich family and she even gave Cassidy such a beautiful younger niece. 'She is the epitome of success,' Cassidy thought to herself.
"I apologize Mrs Evans. It was rude of me to assume without knowing the facts," Warren pleaded. How could he make such a mistake. It's his first time meeting her, and the first thing out of his mouth might have offended Cassidy's elder sister.
"Forget about it," Claire said indifferently. She didn't want to bother or waste her time on the likes of him. "More importantly, where is our breakfast? I'm ravished," Claire said.
Right at that moment a few waitresses arrived with their food. All the delicacies that were displayed to them were of the highest quality. On one of the trays there were well-done eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, toasted bread and even some squashed orange juice. The other tray contained blueberry and banana pancakes, Danish waffles, strawberry-filled red velvet crepes and caramel apple cinnamon rolls. There other delicacies which even Warren wasn't familiar with. 'How much does such a breakfast cost? It is preposterous that people will eat something like this for breakfast. Especially at a restaurant like this,' Warren thought.
Immediately when the food arrived, they started eating. Even Warren, who was hesitant at first, couldn't resist the gourmet food in front of him. This was a breakfast fit for a king.
"So where is my beautiful little niece today?" Cassidy interrupted the silence.
"I left her at the venue before I drove over. She was reluctant to let me go, but I had to persuade my aunt to look after her for a few minutes. It is also uncomfortable for me to leave here alone nowadays, especially with what happened yesterday," Claire said solemnly.
Both sisters understood how easily they might have lost the little one. Thankfully a generous and kind person saved her. Things could have gone wrong so easily.
At that moment Warren's phone started ringing. He looked at it and the number seemed unfamiliar. It also had a different country code which meant that the person calling him, was from abroad. He ignored the call since he didn't want to interrupt their meal. However, the number called a few more times and Warren became agitated. He switched off his phone and continued with his meal. Claire looked at Warren in surprise, since she couldn't understand why he would ignore another person so blatantly. 'It must be his girlfriend and he doesn't want Cassidy to know,' Claire thought as her opinion of Warren grew even worse.
'He wore such poor clothing and he even has the decency to ignore other people. Who does he think he is? I hope my sister never get mixed up with his kind ever again. He's so shameless to ignore his girlfriend when he saw my sister's financial capabilities. If he thinks that he will ever get together with her, he can dream on," Claire thought as her imagination ran even wilder. Cassidy didn't take this to heart since she thought Warren was only being polite towards them. After all, they were in the middle of their meal.
Three days later, Warren was discharged from the hospital. He had nowhere to go and since he lost basically everything he owned, he made his way to the Parker mansion that was located on the outskirts of Richmond. He said he didn't want anything to do with that family anymore, but that was the only safe haven he could find in that instance.Since regaining his memories of what transpired back in Flemond, Warren felt that he had no reason to keep on living. He lost the only reason, in Olivia, to keep on living, and that after he promised not to let her go. He was horrible at keeping promises and that was what killed Warren. As soon as he arrived in front of the villa, Bruce, the butler, already anticipated his arrival. Warren recalled that he asked him to keep an eye over the affairs of Johnathan Parker since he was no longer around, but he didn't expect that Bruce would be so devoted in his tasks."Master Cole. I have awaited your return. Welco
Mark and his two bodyguards, who were quite a distance away, heared his cry all too clearly. When they turned to look in the direction from which they escaped, they could see smoke rising into the air. Although they were almost five kilometers away, they could clearly see the blue fire accompanying the smoke."What is that?" he asked hid bodyguards. The female bodyguard looked at him and responded: "That is the end!"She then sat on a log that nearby. Mark urged his male bodyguard to hurry up so that the two of them could get away. The two of them didn't hesitate and ran as quickly as their legs could carry them. The female bodyguard admired the scene that she saw. That was like something out of a fairytale. Though it was dark all around her, the blue fire contrasted the dark sky in a majestic way."So this is how it ends. I guess there is no escaping your destiny. You're truly the reincarnation of King Cole," she said.
Yvonne had to stand by and hear how her husband get ridiculed like that. She thought she married a stand-up guy, someone who didn't only look good and were rich, but also a man with morals. He wasn't Warren, but he was the next big thing in line.Mark, on the other hand, was boiling with rage. He secretly dialed a number on his phone and within a few minutes his two most loyal subordinates appeared. It was the woman who Warren and Olivia met and another man. Each one of them were cultivators of an extraordinary rank."So you decided to call for backup? I guess you must really be an embarrassment of a man if you can't even fight your own battles. You are not only weak, but you can only assert your dominance on helpless women. I really pity you," Warren said. Mark didn't care anymore. He wanted all of them dead, and that's what he ordered his henchmen to do. Before they could move an inch, Warren appeared behind the man, sword in his hand and the blade on the
"I watched them go out in flames. I heard their screams for help. My father's body was on fire, but he only worried about one thing. He begged Mark to let me go. I couldn't understand why he would want that while he was literally in the depths of hell," Olivia explained. The more Warren heard, the more his anger was fueled. What on earth gave Mark the right to do something to Olivia's family like that? What has he ever done to him? "You know, as they were busy losing their lives in the most horrid way possible, Mark just stood there and laughed. How could someone be so cruel as to do something like that?" "He finally focused his attention on me and said that this was his retribution. He said that he was looking for me for a while. I couldn't understand the meaning in his words, but later he explained everything to me. He said that he fell in love with a woman. She was the best thing to ever happen to him and that he never loved anyone more than that." "The wo
Warren didn't waste any time to linger around. He had to go after Olivia. She was beyond pissed at him. He knew that he messed up big time. She seemed to be spooked by something else before she got to find out about his fling with Jamie. It's not as if he was cheating. Warren felt that he was clearly within his rights to move on, since Olivia was presumed dead by that point."Are you really going to leave now, Warren?" Jamie asked. She looked as if she was holding on to the final thread of hope. She knew that if Warren decided to leave, that thread would snap and it would sent her spiraling downwards, out of control."I'm sorry you had to find out this way, Jamie. It was never my intention to hurt you. It's just that, I can't afford to lose Olivia. I lost her to death once, and now that I have her back, I can't do it again," Warren explained. Jamie didn't understand what Warren was talking about. How could he have lost her to death if she was clearly
"Hey Olivia. What's wrong?" Warren asked worried. Olivia still stood there as if she was frozen. She couldn't move a muscle."I've had enough of this debacle. Miss Francis, if you don't have anything to say to me, I best start going," Mark said. He was about to leave when Jamie arrived. She was so happy to see Warren and her boss finally met each other."Warren, I'm so glad you can make it here today. Now you can finally meet my boss," she said. Warren looked at Mark from head to toe. Was this the man that he was supposed to meet? Who would've known the world was such a small place."Why would I want to meet this idiot?" Mark asked.Warren didn't pay any mind to either of them. He was just surprised that Mark turned out to be thee Mr Clifford. Warren wasn't so sure about going into business with them anymore."Olivia, let me get you home." Warren offered. She nodded. Warren pulled her by the hand and brought her to his car. Yvonne
