Sebastian’s POV

The second I pulled the velvet box from my pocket, I saw it the way her breath hitched, how her eyes locked onto it like it held the secrets of the universe. She didn’t say a word. Just stared.

Curious. Anxious.Hopeful.

Exactly the reaction I was hoping for.

I stepped closer, closing the gap between us until the warmth of her body stirred the air between us.

Her scent of soft vanilla and something wild wrapped around me.

“Go on,” I said quietly, my voice low.

“Open it.”

She blinked, lips parted slightly, and reached for the box. Her fingers trembled just enough to make my chest tighten.

Then she took it delicately, like it was sacred.

The room seemed to fall into silence.

Not the kind you escape from, but the kind that crackled with meaning.

She lifted the lid slowly.

A faint gasp slipped from her lips.

Nestled inside, cushioned against black velvet, was a delicate silver bracelet. Thin but strong. Inlaid with tiny obsidian stones, each etched with markings so old

Susanna’s POVI could feel his eyes on me before I even turned. That heavy, unblinking stare the kind that pins you in place slid over my skin like a touch.Sebastian stood in the doorway, frozen mid-step. His gaze locked on me as though I were prey he had been tracking for far too long. His shoulders were tense, his chest rising slowly but heavily, every inhale sounding like it scraped against control. The air between us shifted thicker, darker, charged with something primal. And I knew exactly what it was.His wolf was pressing hard against him. I could see in his eyes that dangerous gold was bleeding through, the fight between control and surrender written in every taut line of his body.I didn’t move. Not yet.Instead, I let the steam curl lazily off my damp skin, clinging in small, shimmering beads that caught the morning light. I reached for the towel slowly, deliberately, letting the soft cotton slide against me as I wrapped it around myself. His gaze followed every moveme

Sebastian’s POVThe scent of lilies lingered in the air when I woke.Soft, warm light spilled through the curtains, painting golden shadows across our chamber. Susana was already up, standing by the window, the bouquet I’d given her resting in her hands as if it belonged there like she did.For a moment, I simply watched her in silence. But peace… peace was never built to last. Not for people like us.“Morning,” I said, my voice low, still rough from sleep. She turned toward me, a faint smile tugging at her lips.“Good morning, Sebastian.”I pushed myself out of bed, crossing the room until I stood beside her.“You’re thinking about our next move, aren’t you?” I asked. Her eyes sharpened.“Yes… I have a feeling they already found the amulet. Before I met Fiona at the mall. Maybe that’s why she looked so terrified.”My brows drew toge

Sebastian’s POVThe crisp evening air bit at my exposed skin, but I barely registered the chill. My senses were hyper-focused, straining against the rising wind. I stood a stone’s throw from the border. Below, the river rushed over jagged rocks.I had told Ivanka I was checking the border posts a half truth. While my guards maintained their usual vigilance, my true objective lay elsewhere. The real reason I was here… was deep within the forest ahead of me, within spitting distance of Derek’s territory. My boots made no sound as I moved forward, years of training guiding my every step, each fallen leaf and snapping twig anticipated and avoided. The clearing was exactly where we’d left it, just beyond the Dark Moon territory. The spot where we had planted the fake amulet. Just as expected, it wasn’t there anymore.Fiona had taken the bait. Derek too. And from the reports I’d received, the Dark Moon Pack hadn’t questioned it since. They believed Susanna was gone. Dead. The though

Susana’s POVIt’s been two days since Sebastian gave me the most beautiful bracelet I’ve ever seen.Even now, as I sat curled near the fireplace, the bracelet shimmered faintly on my wrist, catching the flickering candlelight like it had a pulse of its own. Sometimes it looked alive like it breathed with me, like it was in tune with the quiet thrum of power building steadily inside me.The silver band was cool against my skin, the obsidian stones warm with memory. But it was the moonstone in the center that held me captive. It glowed softly not bright, not demanding, but subtle, like it was waiting. Whispering. I could feel it calling, though the words were too faint to grasp. It matched my mother’s amulet perfectly.Too perfectly.I twisted it around slowly, letting the light play across the runes carved into the obsidian. My fingers traced them absentmindedly I didn’t need to ask what they meant.I already knew.Protection. Power. Legacy.A spark lit in my chest. The amulet. Not

Susanna’s pov My body was humming, alive with a power I hadn't felt in… well, forever, I'd finally unleashed my Alpha, and man, I could actually feel my wolf getting closer to the surface. Honestly, I couldn't have been more proud of myself. The gods knew I wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for Sebastian. He just believed in me, even when I was totally ready to throw in the towel. Training wrapped up pretty quick today because of that energy burst. Sebastian said I needed to rest, not overdo it. "You've pushed yourself enough for one day,Anna" he'd murmured, his voice a low rumble next to my ear. The easy silence between us felt heavier now, charged with the lingering thrill of my unleashed power. He went to his study, and I went to our chamber to just chill and freshen up. After a quick shower, I ended up heading downs
