Frozen as Her Husband, Revived as Her Son

"Cameron! Have you lost your mind? Do you even realize what you've just called me?" Sienna Green snapped as she stared at me in disbelief.

Tugging on her sleeve, I said with a childlike pout, "Mommy, you've finally come to take me home. I've been lying inside this cryogenic pod for so long now. It's so cold!"

Sienna shoved me away with a fuming look on her face. "Cameron, I don't have the time to waste on whatever mother-and-son roleplay you're doing right now. Now stop acting dumb!"

I froze. "Mommy, I thought you loved Daddy and me. Didn't you say you'd never raise your voice at us?"

Back then, she'd told her friends, "Cameron and Noah are the two most important people in my life. I'll do everything I can to protect them and our little family."

"Cameron Lewis!" Sienna finally lost her temper and grabbed me by the shirt.

Now that I was seeing her up close, I saw many new creases at the corners of her eyes. After gently kissing one of them, I asked, "Mommy, why do you have so many wrinkles now?"

Sienna stiffened, her eyes widening in shock. "Just what kind of game are you trying to play, Cameron? All I did was put you on ice for ten years. I know it seems unfair to you, but I also helped you by preserving you exactly as you are in your 20s. You still look young, and your body is as healthy as it used to be."

"But Mommy, my body isn't strong anymore. It hurts so much here," I said before grabbing her hand and pressing it against my chest. "It's so cold here. My entire body feels cold."

She immediately yanked her hand away, her face darkening. "Can you stop being so disgusting, Cameron? Stop pretending, and stop calling me Mommy! I'm not your mommy. I'm your wife!"

I stared blankly at her before tearing up.

"Why are you shouting at me, Mommy? You were always so gentle!" I sobbed while reaching for her bracelet. "Why did you change your bracelet? Didn't Daddy buy the three of us matching family bracelets? You said you'd never take it off."

I would never forget that day. Sienna had happily put on the bracelet, declaring that she was the happiest woman in the world.

Sienna's face paled a little. It looked like she wanted to say something, but no words came out. She simply summoned her assistant, Edwin Hoffman.

"What the hell is going on? Why is he calling me Mommy after getting frozen for ten years? Did something go wrong with the programming for the cryogenic pod?"

Edwin replied, "I didn't spot any issues. I've kept my eye on the system throughout the past ten years, and his vital signs look perfectly normal. However, your son is younger, so it'll take three more days before he wakes up."

Sienna immediately let out a sigh of relief. Then she grabbed me and dragged me through the door.

"Drop the act, Cameron!" she snarled as she shoved me toward the desk before retrieving a watch from the drawer.

"Mommy! What are you doing? That's the watch Grandma left to Daddy after she died!"

I hurriedly tried to snatch it away, but Sienna immediately stepped out of reach.

"If you don't stop pretending, I'll smash this watch!"

"Daddy will be very sad if you smash the watch, Mommy."

"When are you going to give it up, Cameron?"

Sienna hurled the watch onto the floor, and it shattered into pieces with a loud crack. Staring dazedly at the ruined watch, I said nothing.

Meanwhile, Sienna looked extremely pleased with herself. She absentmindedly stroked the tattoo of the initials "FM" on her arm while eyeing me smugly. "I bet you'll finally drop the act now, won't you? Anyway, I've made some mistakes in the past, but I've decided to come back to you and focus on our family, so you're going to come home with me now."

She dragged me out of the laboratory. I couldn't get used to the blinding sunlight outside, but she didn't pay any attention to me. Instead, she got on a call and said, "Fred, I didn't wake him up because I decided to abandon you guys. I'd already made up my mind ten years ago that I'd resume my life with him on this day."
