Aoife gasped for breath, but Arthur wasn’t stopping. His grip was tightening with each passing second, and she felt herself slipping away.

Arthur groaned, with tears pouring from his eyes. Aoife’s nails dug into his arms on her neck. Just when she was about to cross the borderline, a surge of adrenaline ran through her veins.

She raised her leg and kneed him in his groin—so hard, she almost reciprocated his pain.

Arthur let go of her neck as she fell on the floor, coughing. He held his dick, his face strained in pain, holding the desk for support.

“Fuck!” Arthur cursed.

He ran for Aoife, but she rolled to the side, watching as he hit the wall. She took a vase on the center table and smashed it on his head.

A hole formed in his head as blood started oozing out of the hole. “You fucking slut! What have you done to me! I’m bleeding! I’m fucking bleeding!” He yelled, hands hovered above his head, trying to cover the wound as he fell on his knees.

He slapped her hand from his neck, switching positions as he slammed her back onto the wall. Idris's hand slid up to her neck, and he gripped it. His hold on her neck was firm and powerful. It could break even the most stone-hearted woman. Then his eyes. Those beautiful eyes, the way he stares at her. His lingering gaze was enough to break anybody, but Devika. She wasn’t one to let a man get to her. A chuckle threaded its way to her throat. She raised her hand and held his face, stroking his cheek gently with her pointy finger. “What do you think?” Devika asked. “I know you took the money, return it,” Idris said, his tone leaving no room for arguments. “What makes me the suspect?” Devika asked. Idris's grip tightened on her waist, and he pulled her closer. “Aren’t you Devika of the Furious Thief gang?” Idris asked with a smirk, watching as Devika’s smile faded. “Asshole. I didn’t steal your money, believe it or not.” She pushed him away, and he stumbled back. “I will get your

FURIOUS THEIF GANG HOUSEThe dining room was lively, with the gang members talking about the heist of the previous night. Everybody except Chloé was chatting; she had her head dipped over her food, eating silently. JJ, seating just two persons across from her, couldn't help but stare at her."Chloé, are you okay?" JJ asked before he could stop himself. All heads turned to her, making her bite her bottom lip."Yeah," she replied. Everybody turned their gaze from her, but JJ's gaze lingered a bit longer before he looked away."Last night, Diana was stabbed," Uriel announced. She smirked, watching Diana’s eyes widen. Everybody turned to her with wide eyes, and she secretly locked gaze with Uriel, cursing her under her breath.Nadia saw what happened, but she chose to ignore it.The other gang members kept throwing questions at her."Nobody is talking about how JJ has been unexpectedly quiet today," Nadia said, turning their attention to JJ."What! Leave me out of your gossip," JJ replied

NEXT DAY PJ-TWENTY FIVE.Devika's car arrived in front of the company. She got down and threw her keys at the valet, without sparing him a glance. He raised an eyebrow as she walked past him.Devika walked with her head held high, not giving a darn about the meaningful glances she was getting from the employees. Her heels made a click-clack sound as they touched the floor, and the employees paved the way for her as she walked past them.A male employee brought out his phone to take photos, but with one glare from Devika, he dropped his phone immediately. She rolled her eyes and walked past him. Her eyes caught Idris and Matthew going into the CEO's elevator.A smirk appeared on her lips as she increased her pace. The elevator door was about to close, but luckily, she was able to enter before it closed. Idris and Matthew stopped their conversation, turning to see who would dare interrupt them. The moment Idris looked up, their gazes locked. He felt the shift in the atmosphere, and he k

Idris' car pulled up in front of a villa. He got down from the car and took off his shades. It was nighttime already, the villa was so majestically beautiful, with a water fountain at the front. A grass path was just beside the paved way. The night lights made the villa look like a palace. Idris already knew why his grandfather called him; he knew he must have seen the news. "Shit's gonna be hard," Idris muttered. Idris walked to the entrance, the gigantic door towering over him. He glanced up just as the door opened, glancing at the camera that stared back at him like a predator. "Young master Idris," Victor, the butler, asked. Idris walked into the app without replying to him. He glanced around as Victor closed the door behind him. The inside of the house is even more beautiful than the outside. Just like he left it, the house was empty. His grandfather, Elder Zachariah, really wouldn’t hire any maids or guards, just himself and Victor. “Where is he?” Idris questioned. He glan

Diana lay on her bed with a bandaged stomach, wearing only her panties and bra. She had already gotten her wound treated with the others and was supposed to take a bath, but her bandage was an obstacle. And worst of all, her body was aching seriously. She looked pale, and her lips were dry.Diana’s eyelids closed slowly on their own, but she forced them back open.“I can’t fall asleep now,” Diana muttered to herself. She was already feeling sleepy as a result of the blood she lost. She sat up on the bed, then reached for her pants lying on the floor. She took her phone from the pocket, then flung the pants across the room. With a sigh, she cleared her throat then dialed a number. The first ring went by, but there was no answer. Then came the second ring, then the third, still no answer. She got frustrated but dialed the number again. She heard the doorbell ring. Diana ended the call immediately, throwing the phone under her bed in a hurry.Diana stood up quickly and pulled her bra and
