Blair POV

For a moment, when Jane had told me I was going to enjoy this birthday to the fullest, I thought she was just joking around and maybe my mom and my stepdad just did this to try to make me feel happy, considering what happened. But it wasn't a lie because everything was so magnificent.

The party was everything Jane had promised me, from elegant to sophisticated and also slightly overwhelming because for a minute I couldn't even take a seat. I stood all through, accepting dances from each guest, them asking about my name, asking about what I plan on doing in the future, my future choices in universities, and everything. I couldn't even answer most of them, and sometimes I just smiled it off because, honestly, I was speechless.

Everyone kept congratulating me on turning 18, on becoming an adult, on officially being part of the Diablos family. And of course, just when I thought I was finally going to get a rest, Valor rushed towards me. His hands stretched as I smiled at him.
