“What?” Alannah mumbled as she woke up and stretched her sore muscles.
She felt aches in places she didn’t know possible to feel pain. She’d lost track of the number of times Darius had woken her during the night with his hands sliding over her body.

Darius lay there and watched the sunlight sneak through the mostly closed blinds. It was too early for Alannah to wake considering they hadn’t fallen asleep until the early hours of the morning for the second day in a row. He couldn’t seem to take his eyes off her. Darius awoke and stretched, feeling good. The week had been a whirlwind of activities, but he’d found himself having some long overdue fun. “Let’s go out back to others,” Owen said as he grabbed his own bottle of beer and moved toward the den’s door. Darius didn’t hesitate. He followed behind his cousin, and then realized he hadn’t asked one single question of any of the Jacksons. How was he supposed to get information if he wasn’t even thinking about interrogation? The silence was stifling as Darius pulled out of Cam’s driveway. He had to get her alone. Darius felt like if he didn’t get her into his bed again, he’d explode. He didn’t need her. He’d proven that. He could easily insert himself into the lives of the Jacksons without suspicion. Hell, there was a fundraiser event coming up shortly he’d be attending with them. Darius began his accent, pinning her to the back of the couch, her legs trapped against the high-backed piece of furniture, his arms caging her in.
