There was a loud crackling of fire in the cave, casting ominous shadows on its walls. The flames flared up, crackling and spitting, sending sparks into the already dark cave. A warm light radiated from the flames, illuminating the roughewn stone walls. Huddled up by the fire, I was covered in layers of warm fur blankets. I clutched it tightly like it was about to be yanked off at any moment. My eyelids were heavy. I could see a figure sitting beside the fire covered from head to toe. The horses throttled slowly, making their way back to the city gates. It was a solemn procession. I held the urn that had housed father's ashes minutes back. My pack had assembled to send him off. I sat in the well-organized ginormous library. All the books I had ever craved since I was a teenager were on the shelves of this ethereal library. Their spines were enticing, the huge glossy chestnut brown shelves were lined with different books varying according to color and sizes. The new books which had been stacked in a pile a few moments ago were already organized and tucked neatly into shelves. In glee, I dropped the basket of wine on a reading table and moved from shelf to shelf. I gathered a pair of books to keep myself busy while I waited for my guest's return.
