GETTING HARD AT WORK

I rushed out of the mansion after I received a call from Lycus. I didn’t want to leave the house, but I had to. Her scent was still on me that faint trace of skin, sleep, and whatever perfume she forgot she was wearing. I could still feel the warmth of her pressed against my side, her leg draped over mine, her breath soft against my neck.

It’s ridiculous how much space she takes up, even when she’s not here.

I felt bad leaving Sylvara alone in the mansion without clearing the atmosphere, but I was determined to help her get her revenge too. So I decided to tell her the truth about her parents.

I got into my car and drove out alone. I wanted to avoid getting too much attention because I didn’t plan to leave the mansion or make any movement toward the warehouse. I didn't want to alert the enemies or rogue packs spying around.
