♠SYLVARA♠

I waited for my uncle’s men to storm in, to drag me away from the devil himself. But instead of salvation, the door opened and he walked in. The man I loathed. The one who wore arrogance like a crown. A gun gleamed in his hand, and from the cold smirk curling his lips, I knew the meeting hadn’t gone well.

My heart sank.

“I guess it’s just me, then,” I whispered under my breath.

“What did he say?” My voice trembled despite me.

He only shrugged, sauntering closer. “I don’t think you should concern yourself with that. Unless, of course, you’d like your heart broken knowing your dear uncle traded you away like spare change.”

My chest tightened. “What are you talking about?”

He chuckled, low and merciless. “I mean, your uncle sold you to me. I threw him a bone and he wagged his tail like the good little dog he is.”

The words struck like knives. My uncle, the man sworn to protect me…handed me to my parents’ murderer? For what…power? Profit? My stomach churned.

“I don’t care what deal you made,” I spat, fury burning through my shock. “You don’t own me.”

I darted for the door, but he caught me easily, hefting me over his shoulder like I weighed nothing. I thrashed, fists pounding.

“Let me go!”

A sharp sting across my backside shut me up. My body went rigid.

“I’ll spank you every time you scream,” he drawled. “And you’ll learn.”

I fell silent, my chest heaving, humiliated fury burning hotter than fire. He tossed me onto the bed like a prize he’d already claimed.

“Since you’ll be mine for a while…” His eyes raked over me, dark and hungry. “Why not start the fun now?”

I shoved at him, nails clawing, but he didn’t budge. His strength was absolute.

“Stop squirming,” he whispered against my ear, his breath hot. “Or I might enjoy it too much.”

“Fuck you,” I hissed, though my traitorous body betrayed me. His touch ignited sparks I didn’t want. My chest rose, my lips trembled. Why? Why him?

“Do you really want to leave?” His hand skimmed dangerously close.

“Yes!” I rasped, shoving back tears and heat alike. I needed to escape. To live long enough to kill him myself.

“Then let’s play a game,” he murmured.

“A game?” I sneered.

He smirked, brushing his lips along my hand until my skin burned. “A game of fate. Everyone gets a fair chance. What’s your wish?”

I pressed my palm to his chest, right over his heart. “A bullet. Straight through here.”

His laugh was dark silk. “And mine? Simple. To have you begging for my cock, screaming my name like it’s a prayer.”

My stomach dropped. “You’re insane.”

“Seven months.” His eyes locked on mine, sharp as blades. “Within seven months, you’ll crave me so deeply you won’t be able to breathe without me.” His lips grazed my earlobe as his voice sank to a growl.

I bared my teeth at him. “You are wrong. Seven months is all I need to bury you.”

“And seven months is all I need to make you crave me more than your next breath.” His voice dipped lower, pressing the words into me like a brand.

His grin widened. “Then it’s a bet. But fate favors me.”

“No.” My voice broke but I forced steel into it. “Fate belongs to me.”

I lunged for the gun at his side, but he ripped it away with insulting ease.

“One attempt down,” he murmured, groping me as though to prove a point. My head tilted back despite myself, shame burning through me at the moan that slipped free.

Gods, no. How could my body betray me like this? The man who killed my parents, and I… craved his touch?

“Get your hands—” I faltered when he pulled away, leaving my skin cold, my body aching.

He stood, straightening his shirt, his smirk carved deep. “You’ll crave me soon enough. Look forward to it.”

At the door, he glanced back, eyes glinting wicked. “See you soon, little wolf.”

And then he was gone.

But his words lingered, a shadow curling tight in my chest.

Would I win this game? Or would

treacherous, cruel fate betray me too?

Burning Territory ♠ SYLVARA ♠ Morning arrives like a gentle whisper, brushing the edges of dreams with golden fingertips. Sun rays streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. The sun's rays danced across the sky, painting the clouds in a warm palette of orange and pink.My eyes were widely opened; the bags under my eyes hung like shadows stitched into my skin. I couldn't sleep a wink till dawn as I couldn't stop planning how to leave the mini prison I was in. Prison or not, the walls reeked of Alpha dominance, of power that pressed down on my wolf until she whimpered.“Knock knock.” Someone knocked on my door and I knew it was a maid because that monster would never knock; he lacks manners. “Come in,” I said politely.“Good morning, ma'am” she greeted and bowed carefully. The faint scent of pine and silver lingered on her—she wasn’t just a maid, she was pack. “Morning.” I replied.“Your breakfast is ready ma'am.” She reported.“Okay, I will be there shortly.” I dis

An Ally ♠SYLVARA♠“What is it?” He frowned, his amber wolf eyes glowing faintly. “We have an emergency!”“What?!” He closed his eyes angrily, suppressing the growl that rumbled from his chest. “I will be back next time, little fly.” He winked as he pinched my nipple, dominance radiating off him like fire.“Ahhh!” I let out a moan, and that made me feel embarrassed. ‘Sylvara, how could you let yourself moan before this man?’ I bit my lips angrily.“If you want me to stay, just say it; I won't judge you.” He bit his lips seductively, his wolf smirk lingering.“Get the fuck off me.” I kicked him.“That ‘F’ word might get you in trouble later; be careful,” he teased as he got off me, his voice holding the dangerous playfulness of an Alpha warning a subordinate. “I enjoyed your little game.” He chuckled as he reached out for my nipple again, but I sprang up and turned around immediately. But he spanked my ass, catching me off guard, a growl of amusement leaving his lips, which made me tur

♠SYLVARA♠My hand trembled, clammy against the metal. The fork felt heavier than a weapon should.“Arghhh!” His grunt tore through the air as I yanked it free, blood oozing hot and thick from his chest. For a second, I froze. My lungs locked. My brain went blank.I had stabbed him.Darius Ashfang. The Devil himself. And yet he laughed.“You almost had me,” he rasped, blood trailing down his chest.“You think silver will save you?” he rasped, his breath hot against my ear. His grip tightened, claws digging deeper. “Little wolf… you’ve only made me hungry.”The fork slipped from my hand, clattering on the floor as reality hit me. Blood. Real blood. My stomach flipped, and I staggered back, horror crashing through me. I stabbed him. I really stabbed him.Even though I loathed him, seeing that wound made me falter. I thought I’d feel triumph. Instead, I felt… lost. That was my first time drawing blood. And it was him.“I told you… I’d kill you,” I managed, but my voice shook so badly the

♠SYLVARA ♠Since the night of our so-called bet, he had vanished. Not a glimpse of him, not even the shadow of his presence. I should have been grateful—how could I kill a wolf who refused to show his face? But the moon was a cruel tattletale. Even when he hid, his presence lingered. His scent of pine, blood, and smoke haunted every corner of the villa. My wolf stirred restlessly every time the wind carried it, a reminder that Darius Ashfang was never truly gone. The maid escorted me down the corridor, my first time outside the locked chamber. The villa was a labyrinth, larger than my uncle’s estate, its walls carved from black stone that seemed to absorb light. Chandeliers hung like cages of fire. My uncle’s estate had been a home of power. This was a den of monsters. But it wasn’t the grandeur that froze me. It was the sound. Sharp, guttural, desperate. Pleas. I followed the noise into the garden and saw him—Darius Ashfang. My captor. My enemy. My executioner. He stood in his true f

♣DARIUS♣My life had been nothing but a stagnant river, flowing endlessly without change—power, blood, and silence. I ruled the underground, bent entire families to their knees, but something was missing. No, someone. That emptiness was the reason I took her.Sylvara of Swiftfang. The forbidden flame I had watched from afar for far too long.Even now, days after bringing her here, I sat in my office, watching her on the monitor like an addict taking his first drag of poison. She was pacing, storming the room I had caged her in, her red hair glowing like fire under the dim light. She thought she could outsmart me, find a way out. Foolish. I had already sealed every exit. She could rage, fight, break her nails on the walls—it wouldn’t matter. She was mine now.“My little wolf…” I murmured, fingers drumming against the desk as her glare lit up the screen. She looked furious, like she wanted to claw her way out of the camera itself and tear me apart. I smiled. She was more alive in anger
