Chapter 9: School Premises

I was flustered after everything. I saw Alex coming back and I wasn't exactly sure what the principal sir said to him.

"Hey," I said as he came to me and smiled.

"Hey Catherine"

"What did he say?"

"Um..." he caressed his thumb over my cheek. "That we should not do this in a school"

"Yeah, that's correct... Do... Do you think he'll complain?"

"Nope!" he turned me completely towards himself and kept his hand on both sides of my face. "Can I get an honest answer, Catherine?"

My heart raced at the intensity of his gaze and also the question which seemed serious and deep.

"Am I not good enough for you?"
