"So now. Will you be my girlfriend?" he questioned as he looked into my eyes.

"Yes or No?" he questioned while I felt him stiffening.

"I can't, Alex," I said and he got up from me. He looked towards the window and ran his fingers through his hairs.

"See, Alex..."

"You rejected me right now, you know that?" he looked at me with an expressionless look.

"I-I didn't" I went near him but he yanked back.

"I can't Cat, stay away, that's for the best" he drew the curtains away, of the window.

"Alex I wanna be with you, I do!" I called him and he stopped.

"Then what's the problem?" he asked in a rather frustrated tone.

"There's... A lot is holding me back"

He sighed. "I am not asking you to elope with me or something. That 'lot' which is holding you back, where is it hold
