Draven’s POV

The sirens were still screaming when I reached the eastern boundary.

Warriors were already moving into position, some shifting as they ran, bodies changing in flashes of fur and muscle until they stood upright on two feet, ready to fight. Others remained in human form, weapons already drawn.

The mind link exploded with voices. They were coming from every direction.

“North side has movement.”

“West is clear.”

“Eastern line is breached.”

  • Ghost In The Pack   The End…

Elena’s POV Three months had passed since the battle that nearly took everything from us. Three months since I woke up with Draven staring at me like he couldn’t believe I was really there. A lot had changed since then. The kingdom had changed. The Fae had changed. And, somehow, so had I. Draven and I walked side by side through the eastern territory, following the path that had once led to the small collection of cottages where the first Fae had settled. When we reached the top of the hill, I slowed down and looked over the area below us. I smiled. It barely looked like the same place. More cottages had been built farther along the eastern side, with larger homes scattered between them. There were gardens, open spaces, pathways connecting everything together, and small gathering areas where Fae could sit and talk. Children ran between the houses while adults carried baskets, worked in the gardens, or stood outside talking with their neighbors. I looked around in amazement. “Thi

  • Ghost In The Pack   Good To Be Back

Elena’s POV I could hear voices. They were far away at first, muffled and distorted like I was hearing them through a wall. I tried to focus on them, but every time I did, they seemed to drift farther away. Someone was saying my name. I knew that voice. It was… Draven. I wanted to answer him, but I couldn’t make my mouth move. I couldn’t even open my eyes. My body felt heavy, like I was trapped somewhere between sleep and waking. I heard another voice, but I couldn’t make out what was being said. Then everything went quiet. When I opened my eyes, I wasn’t in the room anymore. I was standing somewhere I didn’t recognize. There were Fae all around me. Dozens of them stood together, watching me. Some looked young. Others were older. None of them looked familiar, but there was something about the place that felt strangely peaceful. Then an older woman stepped forward. She had silver hair that fell around her shoulders and eyes that seemed to know far more than they were saying. I s

  • Ghost In The Pack   She’s Glowing

Draven’s POV I had never been so afraid in my life. Not when I became King. Not when enemies came for my territory. Not when I had stared down men who wanted me dead. Nothing compared to walking into the palace with Elena lying there in my arms without a pulse. I barely remembered the trip from the battlefield to the palace. One second I was standing outside with Darren handing her to me, and the next I was moving as fast as I could, carrying her through the doors while warriors cleared the way. “Get the medical team ready.” My voice came out harder than I intended. The medical staff were already waiting. The moment I reached the room, they took over. I hated every second of it. They laid Elena on the bed, and I stood beside her while they connected equipment and started checking her. I stepped back only because they needed the room to work. One healer checked her breathing. Another checked for a pulse. Then I saw the look that passed between them. “What?” I screamed harshly.

  • Ghost In The Pack   Did You Lose Something?

Darren’s POV The battle was finally starting to slow down. The enemy had lost the momentum they came in with, and once Bernard went down, everything had changed. Men who had been fighting like they had nothing to lose were suddenly looking over their shoulders, searching for a way out. I stood near the eastern side of the battlefield, breathing hard as I watched several of our warriors drive another group of attackers back toward the trees. The ground beneath my boots was torn apart. Broken branches covered the area, weapons were scattered everywhere, and the air still smelled like smoke, dirt, and blood. I looked around for Draven. He was farther across the battlefield, surrounded by several warriors. Elena was somewhere near the eastern cottages. At least, that was where I’d last seen her. I turned to check the line behind me. That’s when I saw movement. At first, I thought it was one of the enemy warriors trying to escape. Then I noticed the way he was moving. Too deliberate.

Others remained in human form, weapons already drawn. The mind link exploded with voices. They were coming from every direction. “North side has movement.” “West is clear.” “Eastern line is breached.” “Multiple groups coming through the trees.” I stepped forward and looked beyond the boundary. The trees were moving. Not from the wind. But… From them. “Hold the line,” I ordered through the link. My warriors spread out. Elena came up beside me. I looked at her. She was already ready to fight. No hesitation. No fear. My Queen stood at the edge of the territory she had spent the last several days protecting, staring into the trees as the enemy came for everything she had begun building. I reached for her hand. She squeezed mine o

  • Ghost In The Pack   Breach!!!

Elena’s POV The moment the warrior left the dining room, the atmosphere changed. A few minutes ago, Darren had been complaining about the pancakes, Byron had been giving him shit about it, and Draven had been sitting beside me looking entirely too calm for a man who knew an army was gathering outside our borders. Now nobody was laughing. The day we had been waiting for had finally arrived. I took a couple steps towards the door. Well I tried to. Draven grabbed my arm. “I want to check on the Fae.” Draven immediately looked at me. “I’m coming with you.” “I figured you were going to say that.” His mouth curved slightly. “You know me well.” “Unfortunately.” Darren snorted from across the table. Draven gave him a look, and Darren suddenly became very interested in his plate. I walked out with Draven beside me, the sound of our footsteps echoing through the hallway. The palace was already moving differently. Warriors were heading toward their assigned positions. Staff members we
