Luca laughed when her face tightened. “I’m sorry for laughing. You’re just so adorable whenever I see you,” he raised an eyebrow in delight. He continued to adore her awkward mien.
Jennet was flustered but, she hid it. She coughed politely to brush away the awkwardness that came to pester her calmness. No one within the company had paid any attention to her. But this man said she was adorable. It would be a lie to say that she was unhappy because she was on cloud nine. Suddenly, Hue’s pouty face came into her mind. The joy that visited her shuffled away in a hurry.
“Ahem, it’s unexpected that you would compliment someone like me. I am not as how you pictured me, Luca. You better get it off your head,” she said after she sobered up from the fantasy.
Luca played with his glass. “You’re different from the rest of the women I’ve associated with. You’re humble, adorably cute and shy.”
