Chapter 5 Deceit

작가: Aurelia
Luciano ambushing me after work? Not on my bingo card.

Curiosity snapped to annoyance. My face went cold.

"If you're just passing through, keep walking. If you came for me, don't bother—there's nothing left to say."

I shoved past.

He grabbed my wrist. Eyes all desperate and drowning in regret.

"Gaia, listen. That night—it was a mistake. I was drunk. Cecilia came on to me. She set me up!"

My glare dug in.

"If you could just own what you did instead of pointing fingers, maybe I'd have a shred of respect left. But right now..."

I let out a short, bitter snort.

God, it hurt. Like something ripping in my chest.

I didn't want to believe the guy I once loved—really loved—was this weak. This spineless.

His laugh, that stupid dimpled grin, all those soft little memories? Torched.

"I always knew Cecilia was a snake," I said, stepping back. Voice flat, razor-edged. "But you? Lying to both of us? That's just sad."

I'd heard it—him calling me a boring nun. Seen it—them, tangled up in his damn kitchen. And he still thought he could sell me some sob story?

Couldn't even look at him.

I turned to go—and then he snapped. No more begging. All bite now.

"Oh, so you're innocent? Gaia Miller, you really think this is all on me? Newsflash—you started this!"

He stormed up, chest puffed under that black suit, fists clenched.

"We were together for three years. THREE YEARS—and you never let me touch you! I'm young, rich, healthy—do you know how many women throw themselves at me? I held back, Gaia. For years. And the ONE time I slip, I'm the bad guy?"

He actually looked proud. Like he actually believed it.

He stepped closer, jaw locked, hand twitching near my face. "How much more was I supposed to take?"

I backed up. Face blank. Voice colder than December.

Nothing he said made it okay. If anything, it just made everything clearer.

Wow. So this is who he really is.

"Luciano. Did you forget the promises you made?"

We met three years ago on Montrelle U's basketball court. He was the star—finance department's golden boy, lighting up the crowd. Every girl wanted him. So did I.

What I didn't know? He wanted me too. Captain of the cheer squad.

He chased me hard. Wouldn't quit.

I loved him back—but I was scared. Kept shutting him down.

Then one night, he drank himself sick over it. Literally passed out outside my dorm.

I hauled him to the ER, got him an IV, sat there while he came to—looking wrecked.

Something in me broke.

I gave in.

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 90

Gaia's POV.I was suffering, but couldn't even say a coherent sentence as Lysandro held my hips with a vice-like grip while thrusting forcefully like a machine. There were moments when I started to wonder if he was punishing me or himself. My tears trickled down my cheeks silently, while my ankles were hurting and swelling from scraping against the cuffs. As my body reached its limit, Lysandro finally pulled the cloth out of my mouth, and I moaned out loud uncontrollably."Lys… Please…" I tried to beg for mercy, but even as I found my voice, he thrusted so hard that I moaned from orgasm, while the rest of my body spasmed. As I couldn't say a word, Lysandro ignored my gestures and kept his eyes closed, he was still holding me aloft as he thrusted again and again. He was on his knees, holding my hips so high that only the back of my head and my neck were on the sheets. The rest of me was being held in the air, while I felt myself tightening around his jackhammer.Seeing that Lys

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 89

Gaia's POV.I actually didn't fear Lysandro's wrath. Instead, my heart found pity for him.I must have lost my mind.He was going to lock me up, but I was busy wondering if I had made a mistake. When Lysandro said he would give me a chance, I understood completely that he didn't mind me hiding my relationship with Luciano… Or maybe he did, but he calmed down after a few days had passed and decided not to punish me.That was why he decided to confirm the only thing that mattered—was I in love with Luciano?I was well aware that the trial had begun as soon as Lysandro's men threw Luciano into the basement. And somehow, I had to screw up said test on every turn with pinpoint precision, and it left Lysandro absolutely infuriated.Still, that also begged the question—an entirely new question. Why did Lysandro care so much about how I feel toward Luciano? Unless…I didn't dare to continue on that trail of thought as it was just so narcissistic. But curses, after having read so many

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 88

Lysandro's POV.Gaia.My Gaia. She was kind—I knew that.I had since spent days cleaning up Luciano's mess while I pondered about the connection between him, myself, and Gaia.Everything clicked when I realized that Gaia was that reliable E-cup girlfriend of Luciano's—the one whom I had approved of just from hearing about her.And now, the full picture became clear to me.Luciano had cheated on her because she refused to have sex with him—and it had to be with her stepsister on top of that.It was just ridiculous. She even caught them in the act, and unable to bear such betrayal, she decided to take revenge by hitting the bar and having a random one-night stand. It made perfect sense—she was a healthy adult woman and had every right to make her own choices, especially after being cheated on.What she didn't expect was the fact that she slept with me. I still don't know how she found out—did she get a peek on my wallet, or was it something else that identified me? Either

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 87

Gaia's POV.That said, wasn't it a good thing for me that there was only one machine-like house manager around the mansion?Getting out of bed, I tiptoed downstairs and snaked to the dog door in the back garden. I naturally wasn't going to crawl through it, but I was just checking if Luciano made it out.I'd always known that Luciano was an idiot, which was why I was worried if he could find the hole.Lysandro's mansion was huge, and the grounds could fit three football fields. As I hurried along amid the cool evening breeze, I kept scanning the gardens and the woods for that idiot who should be bandaged like a mummy. But I never found him.Did he make it out?Maybe he suddenly gained divine providence and grew a brain? That was when I heard a ruckus nearby and asked out loud, "Luciano? Are you alright? Did you find the hole in the wall?"No one answered, but I soon heard the sound again. It was the Victorian-era gates in the depths, clanging as it was being shut. Then I h

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 86

Gaia's POV.I almost laughed at Dio's panic but managed to catch myself just in time.So I kept my eyes closed and didn't move a muscle, insisting on playing dead no matter how he pushed and shoved.Having no choice, he carried me upstairs, rambling, "Hell, I told Lysandro long ago that he should just buy you a house and cook up a storm for you. But now you've passed out from putting up a hunger strike—what am I going to tell him? It isn't my fault. I already told him what he should be doing…"I bore with the geezer's rambling while taking in the world around me in curiosity.Everything seemed so cold—Lysandro's cold nature simply drowned out these machine-like people who all had their opinions on things.Putting me on the bed in a very spacious room, Dio was still grumbling as he called the family doctor. "Yes, Tiff, you need to get here soon. No, it's not yet another casualty… Hmm, I guess he's just in love. I don't know how long it'll last, but she matters to him. So get here

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 85

Gaia's POV.Was Luciano really trying to show how romantic he was? Now, of all times? If anything, I thought that he had lost his mind. However, I wasn't interested in arguing as I calmly said, "My plan only affords one of us to escape. So shut up and listen to what I say if you want to live."I had decided to see this through—Lysandro was clearly still furious, and I couldn't imagine how badly he would hurt Luciano if he were to see me bandage him so meticulously. As it was out of humanitarian reasons that I treated Luciano, I had to play god and resolve the issue at its roots after watching his tragic state for three hours.Helping Luciano to his feet and taking the black hood off his face, I told him, "Find a safe place and lay low for a while. You'll be safe when Lysandro calms down."Pausing, I then added, "I have ways to calm him down too."This chaos was a result of my mistakes, and I swore that I would make it right. However, Luciano's expression appeared pain, his bru

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 20 You're My Gattina

Lysandro squinted. Not threatening—just curious. Maybe even amused."You're bargaining with a mafia boss?" He tilted his head. "You took the money. That means the job's yours. You already said yes to being my mistress. Only thing left is follow-through.""But—" I tried to explain. He caught the n

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 16 Signing the Waiver

Gaia's POVI dragged myself into the rental, dead tired. It was already nine. One look at the wall clock and my brain short-circuited. That check. That damn offer. His voice slammed back into my head—"Be at my mansion. Eight sharp."A whole month. For sex. Those emerald eyes. That body—straigh

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 22 Kept by the Don

I wanted to tell Lysandro the tears were just physical—that it wasn't emotional, it was just that he was too good in bed.But he didn't give me a chance. He filled me again. And again. That night? Unreal.I lost count of how many times I came. All I knew was—I blacked out by the end.***Whe

  • Girl, You Slept with the Don   Chapter 18 What Are You Going To Do To Me

Lysandro's POVCatello had never pissed me off like this.Dragging Gaia in like some half-dead hostage? I nearly cut his throat on sight."Who told you to bring her here like that?"He froze. "Don, please—don't lose it. It was clean. Thirty minutes. Drove myself. No tails. No one knows the doc i
