Chapter 22

Burgess locked up Oprah for a whole week.

Food and drinks were brought in every day, but they were all poured into the toilet, and Oprah was getting thinner daily, clearly showing that she was using this harmful method to fight against Burgess.

Burgess’s mood was worsening, and he got home earlier, wishing to watch Oprah finish every meal.

One night, Burgess came back before seven o'clock. When he returned, he went to the bedroom to see Oprah. When he opened the door, he saw her sitting at the table, drinking soup quietly and froze.

He had thought that Oprah would throw away the dinner like last night. Seeing her eating so quietly now, Burgess almost thought he saw it wrong.

When Oprah heard him walk in, she looked at him calmly, no longer filled with anger like before. Then she lowered her head and continued to eat slowly.

Burgess walked over, "Do you like the soup?"

Oprah nodded and said, "Not bad.”
