Getting too used to waking up in the hospital, with the blinding lights, I mentally prepared my eyes for the hash white lights in the hospital as I opened my eyes.

I tried moving my arms, but I found I couldn't, I took a look at my arms and saw it was wrapped in casts and there were bandages on my chest.

I felt warmth on my hand, gradually I turned my head slowly because of the pain it was causing me.

Ethan, he was holding my hands while he slept. I wiggled my left hand and Ethan immediately woke up .

Immediately his eyes met mine. Tears filled my eyes.

He stood up so fast, almost knocking down the chair on his way up.

"Kimberly" he sighed, his eyes closed, taking in a deep breath you're awake.”

I was resting the next day when Vanessa dramatically entered the room sobbing like it was my funeral she was attending instead of a hospital visit, what a drama queen.

“Ohhhhhhh Kimberly, my baby.” the drama continued, placing her hand on her chest and her mouth like she was holding a
