Isaac walked in through the mansion’s door. He was holding onto the file Jermy had given him. He walked into the living room and saw the two ladies giggling about something.

“Why did you call me?” He spoke with a serious voice. Ada felt like her soul had been sucked out when she heard his scary voice, Mia noticed that and she frowned at Isaac.

“Stop scaring her!” Mia spoke.

“When did I?” Isaac felt like his mother was being way too much.

“I said to apologize!” She was not backing off.

Isaac glanced at Ada and parted his lips reluctantly, “ I am —sorry,” He spoke with a very stoic face, showing how not sorry he was.

“Are you joking with me? Say it —“

“It’s okay, I accept the apology,” Ada spoke up before Mia made him bow before Ada. “Such a nice child she is,” Mia caressed her face while Isaac stared at them with disgust.

“Mom, if you are done, I would like to talk to Miss. Charlotte in private,” His eyes were resting on Ada’s face and they didn’t look pleased at all.

Mia paused for a while and then looked around at Ada who had received a fright of the century after listening to him.

“Yes! Sure, who am I to disturb a couple when they are having a small fight,” Mia’s attitude took a drastic turn and she stood up to walk away. Isaac’s gaze followed her until she was out of sight and then looked back at Ada.

“Meet me in the study,”

He looked very pissed when he said those words, Ada started to step away and she held her heart, skipping in fright.

“What now?!” She muttered and silently followed him upstairs into the study.

She hesitated a bit before opening the door, She peeked inside to see Issac holding a cup of coffee, while his face had a very sour expression. When he saw her close the door behind her he looked at her and said,

“Explain! What are you trying to do?” Issac’s forehead had a frown on it, but Ada wasn’t very interested in that because she was thinking about what Peace had said to her to do when he asked this question.

“The exact thing you were trying to do,” Ada spoke out but the words were not hers, she felt like she was reading a script out, and the writer was Peace.

“Hah!” He gave out a cold snicker. “You—I misguided you, I thought you were simple...but when I saw your conditions, it made me feel like you don’t like losing,” He walked in closer to her.

‘What did you write in that file Peace? Why is this monster walking over to me Like that?’

Ada stepped backward.

“Why are you retreating, I thought you wanted to negotiate,” Isaac’s face wasn’t showing any mercy.

“Okay, let’s negotiate but can you stop scaring me like that?” Ada replied with knitted eyebrows.

“Hah! I heard you were very brave when you were talking to my assistant, what happened now?” Isaac asked with a maniac-like expression waiting to tear her off into shreds.

“It wasn’t me!!—“ Ada spoke out.

“Oh, then who was it? Your ghost?” Isaac had completely ignored Jermy when he told him about her advisor, so all along she thought that it was Ada who came up with such a well-calculated plan to trap Isaac.

“It was my—my personal advisor,” Ada replied.

Isaac’s eyebrows rose, and he pauses for a second.

“Well then, call your advisor, I want to see him,”

“She is not here, you can’t meet her,” Ada strongly guarded Peace.

“Give her a call, I want to meet someone that has the courage to go against me,” Isaac felt like he had been challenged. “Or else I will lock you up in the basement, and starve you until your advisor comes to save you,”

Ada’s face paled as she saw his serious face that showed no sign of joking.

Ada gulped down her saliva and pulled out her phone from the pocket, “Okay, I will call her,” She dialed Peace’s number. She picked the call in the third ring.

“Hello, how did everything turn out? Any success?” She asked.

“Listen to me, Mr.Mendoza wants to meet you, can you come here to the mansion?” Ada wanted to cry out to Peace but it was a professional atmosphere and she couldn’t ruin it.

“I am busy, I can’t,” Peace replied blankly, Ada shifted the phone away from her and look at Issac, and said, “She is busy, I think you can meet up with her another time,”

Isaac was in no mood to argue with her so he pulled the phone from her hand and answered it himself.

“It’s me, I see you are not that busy,” Isaac spoke.

“Who is it? Do you have an appointment with me?” Peace spoke blankly.

“Hah! You must be joking! I am Isaa—“

“And that would be a total of a thousand dollars,” Peace muttered.

“What?”

“You took 10 seconds from my precious time, you need to pay for it,”

Peace was very much serious and was in no mood to answer his questions.

“If you want an appointment you can talk to my manager, have a great night,” Peace ended the call, Isaac looked really pissed and he glanced back at Ada with a questioning gaze,

“Was that your advisor?” He was shocked.

“Yes, she must have been really busy, I hope you will be able to meet her next time,”

“Hah! This is going to be interesting, Bring her to the office tomorrow morning and we will sign the agreement, if not then-,” Isaac felt like his self-respect was being walked over by a mere lady. He wanted to see for himself how much she could resist his charm when she sees him tomorrow.

“That is gonna cost me a lot of money—“ Ada frowned as she mumbled.

“Huh?” Isaac was a bit taken aback.

“You think she works for free? She charges up to thousands of dollars just for a small meeting,” Ada frowned.

“I thought she was joking about the thousand dollars,” Isaac frowned.

“Hah! Be prepared with her money once she has said so, if not then you have to face bitter consequences,”

Ada winked and left the room leaving Isaac with a complicated expression.
