Isaac walked into his mansion, followed by Ada. She looked around at the walls and the interior, Everything was high-end, from the nail in the wall to the color of the curtains. Everything was just perfect and in the middle of the hall like a room, on a luxurious sofa sat a lady with an angelic appearance. Not a single strand of hair resembling Isaac's arrogant appearance. She was Mia, Isaac’s mother. As soon as her eyes landed on Ada, she sprang up from the sofa and walked happily over to Ada, and hugged her tightly.

“You are finally here! I feel so happy,” she patted her back lightly, Ada wasn’t sure how to respond to it so she looked at Isaac but he wasn’t even looking at them, he was standing beside the table where there were some snacks that Mia had prepared for Ada. He bent down and picked an apple from the basket.

“Now that you have found yourself a toy, I hope you will not disturb me again.” Isaac walked past them.

“Isaac! Stop right there, spend some time with your fiancée, she has traveled so far just for you,” Mia was enraged when she saw her son’s least bothered attitude.

Isaac stopped and looked around, his gaze stopped on Ada,

“Only fifteen minutes,” He muttered and walked back towards the stairs.

“Go! And have a great time,” Mia pushed Ada towards the stairs and winked at her.

Ada was extremely reluctant to go, she twisted her fingers and stepped on the stairs. Isaac walked Into his study and Ada followed him silently… She closed the door behind her.

Isaac was studying her every move, he lightly gestured her to sit and she obediently followed,

“I will not apologize for coming late—but I will begin by introducing myself,” Isaac spoke as if someone had forced him to sit there, well actually he was forced buy you get the point.

“You might know me already but I am Isaac Mandoza-“

“Pfft—“

Isaac frowned a bit because Ada suddenly snorted. Her gaze shifted towards Isaac in horror as it happened unconsciously, she had controlled this joke for a few days now and the laugh came out at a very unexpected time.

“Is there something funny about my name?” His voice got colder.

“No! You misunderstood, it’s just my friend’s—“ she paused to think.

‘Should I tell him that Peace’s dog name is Isaac and that I thought of him when he told me his name? I mean any normal person would become angry when they hear a thing like this!’ She fought inside her brain for a while.

“Your friend’s what?” Isaac asked in a scary tone.

“M-my friend’s husband—his name is Isaac too, so I just found it very amusing,”

‘Sorry Peace I ruined your reputation,’ Ada whispered inside her head.

“Oh!— I thought it was something important,” with a nasty expression he looked away,

“My name is Charlo—“

“I don’t care who you are, I am not going to marry you anyway,” He uttered plainly, “ by now you should have realized it that it’s all my Mother’s doing and I am not interested in marrying,”

“But I came here to get married,” Ada spoke in a small pitiful voice.

“No! You came here so you could use me to take back your father’s company from the clutches of your greedy family,” he uttered without a pause.

“So it’s better for us to keep it till business…” He got up slowly and walked closer to Ada. “So let’s work together, I will help you get back your company and you help me out with my mother, and when we both have gotten what we want, we can walk our separate paths,”

‘What? Why is this conversation going in this direction? I am not here to save no company! I am here to loot you-you idiot!’ Ada thought angrily.

“I guess our little Missy needs some time to make a decision,” Isaac noticed her twitching eyebrows and decided to give her some space. He walked towards the coffee maker and brewed a hot cup of coffee for himself and suddenly Peace’s red hand flashed before his eyes.

“I wonder if it was treated or not,” he mumbled.

“Did you say something?” Ada asked as she couldn’t hear what he just said.

“You are still here?” He looked at her with a surprised face.

“You want me to leave?”

“Yes, you can think about what I just told you, If your answer is yes then I will help you and if the answer is no—then Farewell Little Missy,” he sipped the coffee leisurely. Ada paused for a few seconds trying to take in his words,

Buzz...buzz

It was Ada’s phone that was ringing, she looked down at the caller and it was Peace, her wavering heart met peace and she happily picked it up.

“Guess what?” Peace spoke without any greetings.

“What?” Ada asked. Isaac looked in her direction and then walked over to the window.

“No way!” Ada exclaimed, Isaac’s expression didn’t change but he did glance in her direction. “Is this for real?—wait a second let me go to a more convenient place. She picked up her bag and gave Isaac a nod and left the room with a smile, Issac’s gaze followed her out.

“I thought you were angry at me that is why you said you were not coming with me, and turns out I was overthinking,” Ada stood beside the stairs and spoke.

“Ada, now that I have gotten this opportunity, I think we should give an end to this...it has taken a lot from us, we will never be happy if we continue this madness,” she spoke, Ada felt her words deep in her heart and a small tear appeared in her eyes,

“I know that, I too am tired of living like this,” Ada added. “ But we have already started it, there is no going back from this one,” she spoke with disappointment.
