The next morning, everything was just hazy in my eyes. Things happened as if in a fog, I dressed up in my beautiful silver gown, radiating the moon goddess’s beauty. Earlier I would have cherished the moment but not today.
Today was different.
Lizzie and Emma were waiting outside my room for me, they had a sweet smile on their face. But I knew from inside they were plotting against me. They were enjoying my misery.
I entered the wedding hall, leaving both mother and daughter behind me. They were not able to match my long strides.
In the big hall, all pack members, Logan’s family as well and the Wolf Council were present.
I moved forward alone, matching hard stares from everyone else. Without waiting, the ceremony began and when the council asked if I would take Logan as my mate, I did what I had decided to do.
“No, I, Grace Hawthorne reject Logan Harper,” I announced with steel in my voice.
The hall fell into deep silence, I could hear the sound of sweat dripping from Logan’s forehead or my father’s increasing heartbeat.
Logan's face contorted with a mixture of anger and disbelief. "Grace, what are you doing? This is our wedding!"
“Not anymore. I reject you.” I announced once again.
My father, standing nearby, was seething with rage. He stepped forward, his face contorted with fury. In a fit of madness, he raised a hand as if to strike me, but before he could make contact, a commanding voice rang out, stopping him in his tracks. "How dare you lay a hand on my Mate?"
Xander had appeared in a flash of power, his presence filling the room. His eyes bore into Daniel’s with an intensity that sent a chill down everyone's spine.
Everyone’s face paled seeing the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, standing on their turf, anger rushed through Daniel’s features and he roared. "Not your mate, she is my daughter."
Xander cut him off with a wave of his hand. "You dare to touch what’s mine and I will show you what real Alpha can do for his mate." Xander’s growl had an intensity that shook even The wolf council.
His deep blue eyes bored into mine and a slow smile grazed his feature, he gestured to me to come toward him and I did.
“Miss me Darling.” he purred, and a chill ran down my spine. This person could be my undoing. He sn*ked his hand around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
Once again I was left enchanted by his scent.
Logan, too, was fuming, but the coward he was, he dared not challenge Xander. Instead, he turned his anger on me. "You think the Werewolf Council will tolerate such blatant mate theft?"
I barked a laugh at this, and suddenly the whole hall was shrouded in darkness, and the video started playing.
In that video, all can see that Logan was pounding Emma, ruthlessly. The sound of their moans and grunting filled the room, the sound of slapping skin on skin was evident, and so were their faces.
“Stop this video.” Emma shrieked, but all in vain.
“You know what the Werewolf Council won’t tolerate more?” I taunted Logan.
“Unfaithful Mate.” I added, watched as Logan, Emma, and Daniel’s faces turned ashen, as if they had seen some ghost.
A heavy growl came from where the council was seated, and the Alpha barked.
“An unfaithful Werewolf can never be the Alpha of the Pack. We, the Werewolf Council, announce that Logan Harper can never become the Alpha.” His voice had so much power that even Xander, for a moment, showed his neck.
But it happened so fast that I thought that maybe I was mistaken.
Logan's knees buckled and he fell down on the floor. Emma tried to offer some comfort to him, but he pushed her away like she meant nothing to him.
But seeing Logan’s devastated state didn’t do anything to me, I wasn’t satisfied, I wanted more.
“In front of the whole Blood Moon Pack and the esteemed Werewolf Council, I, Grace Hawthorne, in the name of Moon Goddess, take Xander Vaughn, Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, as my Mate.” I announced, with a steely determination in my voice, and waited.
“I, Xander Vaughn, in the name of the moon of Goddess, take Grace Hawthorne, Luna of the Blood Moon Pack, as my mate.” He announced.
As this happened, a little spark was ignited inside me, I was left baffled with the sheer intensity of the bond. My eyes widened, but I announced,
“I announce that Xander is the Heir of the Blood Moon Pack.” With that he sealed his lips on mine.
I was caught off guard by this, his lips were sucking mine with a bruising intensity, and we struggled for domination. I opened my mouth to moan, and he took that as an invitation for further exploration. His tongue fought with mine and I had never felt like this.
This was not my first kiss. Each one of them was sweet, but nothing like this ever crossed my mind. This was nerve wracking, something that I have never experienced before but always longed for.
We were both breathless when we broke apart. “This is going to be fun,” He smirked at me.
Oh, no. This wasn’t what I signed for.
The room was filled with crying kids and the crying did not feel like a curse, it was indeed a blessing, a symphony to my ears. The nurse gave the kids to Xander and he took the bundle of joy with so much love and adoration, I couldn’t help but smile at him.All curses left my mind when I looked at him handling our kids with so much love, this man was my family. I love him.“Grace, look these are our kids,” he showed the faces of my babies to me and a laugh bubbled up my throat.I nodded. Xander leaned down and kissed me on my forehead.“You have given me the best gift, Grace, I am going to worship the land you are going to walk on. You are my goddess from now on.” Xanderr boasted and I laughed. And then suddenly the door opened abruptly.“How dare you all, keeping me out of the room, don’t you know who I am?” Daisy cursed like a sailor as she tried to enter the room while the guards were trying to keep her out.Xander rolled his eyes at her, clearly not ready for her drama.Daisy pun
Xander looked at me, his wolf growled but we needed to act fast. I with my she wolf troop marched toward the rogues, they were not expecting us and were startled when we attacked them, in just one move we had rogues covered from all three sides. From the west Kai was acting like a killing machine, eliminating rogues, from the north I was there and my troop with their agility easily defeated the rogues and Xander’s experience was making rogues run for their lives. But they had nowhere to go, with the help of Robert we had the area covered, anyone who dared to leave the battlefield would burn like crisp hips, so we all were sure of our victory. And after two days of continuous fight, we eliminated every rogue in the area. We were standing before the corpses of our foes and there was a calming peace in the area.A victorious wolf came from the west, my heart skipped a beat knowing that Kai won and I copied him and then waited for Xander, his howl came moments later and I leaped in the ai
Grace’s POV“I, Grace, The Alpha of Blood Moon Pack and Luna of Silver Moon Pack, stand here in front of the members of both packs, to announce that I am leaving the pack to fight alongside my mate. I am leaving not because I only care about my mate, it’s true that I do and I have full faith in him. But more than that, I believe that at this crucial moment, my forces need me. If in a time of crisis, I can’t be there on the battlefield helping my soldiers, then what kind of Alpha I would be? I want to lead my forces, supporting them so that I am there for them, so they are aware that before them the enemy has to deal with their Alpha. All my life my father looked down on me only because I am a woman, not worthy of the title of Pack’s Alpha. But time and again I have proved to him that my biology doesn’t define my worth. My power does, and my authority depends upon my skill. I have earned this title and today I will pay the price of this title. My mother, the Luna of the Blood Moon Pack
The whole day we were holed up in our room and when we went out it was already the next day.Grace and Xander were already present in the dining room.Xander took one look at his Beta and shook his head.“I don’t want to know,” he muttered under his breath, clearly not interested in what happened between us.I snorted, sat on the table, and started eating. And as the day progressed I realized that even though the dark Chapter called Morax had ended, it didn’t mean that all problems were solved. We were still in between the war.Like it was decided before, Xander was preparing to lead the troops to help Kai and Mason was already on his way to help his Alpha. We were standing at the front of the house, Grace held Xander’s hand, and I could see vulnerability in her eyes and I clutched Mason’s hand with desperation.“I am going to come back, don’t worry,” he *ssured me.“Indeed you have to. I will burn your soul if you won’t,” emotions swirled in my voice as I looked at him.He dipped his
“How are you feeling?” Mason asked me his eyes were fixated upon me, there was a fire burning in his eyes, there was a look of longing, a thirst.I had never seen him looking at me like this, except the time we met during our mission with Morax, there was the same intensity in his eyes that I am seeing right now.I always thought that Mason was this laid-back guy but now the possessiveness in his eyes was blinding, and my breath hitched when he moved toward me.“Great, just my bones are dancing with all the energy I had spent,” I smirked at me, as he prowled toward me like a hungry animal, which he was like a hungry wolf.“Why are you looking at me like this?” I questioned him.His eyes darkened as he stretched his hand and grazed my lips with his fingers, I trembled under his touch. His touch left me trembling on my bed.“How am I looking at you?” he asked me, his eyes fixated upon my lips.“Like you want to devour me, like you want to embrace me in a way where nobody could understan
I slumped down heavily on the floor as the door of my room burst open and werewolf warriors came inside. They searched the room through their eyes but found nothing, except the black mist. The residue of the confrontation between Morax and me.“We heard the noise,” The guard questioned as he looked at my slumped figure on the floor.I squeezed my eyes closed, my body feeling the weight of the fight that I had just fought.I just wanted to rest and sleep, maybe for a year.I opened my mouth to speak, to answer them, what really had transpired in the room. But apart from a hollow voice nothing came, my vision swam in front of my eyes. And the people I was seeing clearly were now just faceless figures, their images distorting. And with that without any prior warning, I just slumped down and fell asleep.I needed that rest, it was like someone just dragged into the dark abyss that was comforting and after weeks I was feeling safe, secure, and comfortable. After what felt like the most pea
