Stella POV

Maybe just maybe he would bring the money right away.

That was what I thought.

But instead, the kidnappers began touching my clothes.

“Please, no. I am pregnant. I beg you, please spare me,” I pleaded with them as I tried pushing their hands away, but I was one woman against four men, what could I possibly do?

My voice broke as I cried, placing a protective hand over my stomach.

They all burst out laughing.

“Mary paid us to make sure you and your child did not survive, and to make sure we ruin your beautiful body,” one of the kidnappers said.

His face twisted cruelly before he punched my stomach with all his

I gasped in shock and pain. My stomach is bruised and in pain.

One of the men grabbed the front of my dress and ripped it open, exposing my chest. His filthy hands moved up my thighs.

He was trying to rape a pregnant woman?

My eyes burned with tears as I began to cry, my own husband left me to this evil fate.

The man I have taken care of from our university days left me to get raped.

A loud bang echoed.

A bullet tore through the head of the man positioning himself in between my legs and he collapsed to the floor, dead.

The kidnappers tried to reach out for their guns, but they fell one by one, shot down and dead before my eyes.

“What disgusting men ,trying to rape a pregnant woman, “ I heard a low voice said and I blinked away my tears and looked up.

I saw a strange man standing there.

Then I looked down at my blood-soaked dress.

And everything went black.

I woke up five days later.

My body felt empty and broken.

The doctor explained everything to me.

The baby had died in my stomach.

They had removed my unborn daughter through a C-section.

I could only silently shed tears.

The door opened.

Andrew ,my husband walked in with Mary clinging to him, tears in her eyes.

“Stella, please forgive me. It was all my fault. I deserved to die,” Andrew said.

For the first time, I wished he had died instead of my child.

“I am so sorry. I thought they wouldn’t harm you until I got the money,” Andrew continued.

A single tear slid down my cheek, but my face remained calm.

“I want a divorce,” I said with my voice low.

My voice did not shake.

Andrew’s eyes widened.

“What? No, you can’t do that. This was all a mistake!” Andrew shouted.

Panic was in his voice.

I stared at him coldly.

Right now standing before me I do not see the man that I married, I just saw a man who decided to exchange my safety for the safety of another woman.

“Andrew, this was no mistake. It was deliberate. You took me from where I was resting at home and gave me to kidnappers who killed my child and tried to rape me, if i tell you that they said Mary was the one who paid them to do it, you would never believe me,” I said slowly.

Every word came from deep pain.

“I don’t need to stay in a marriage where I am the third wheel. We have no children. You can marry Mary without any baggage from me,” I told him.

If I had left sooner, my child would still be alive.

But I knew I had to survive, because this would not be the last attempt on my life.

“Stella, we can have another child,” Andrew said desperately.

I shook my head.

“No. I want a new husband, one who wants to be married to me, not to his first love. Please leave my room,” I said firmly.

He kept arguing, but I completely turned him out.

Then there was a knock on the door.

My lawyer walked in, holding divorce papers.

He handed them to Andrew.

Andrew glanced at the papers, then ripped them apart and tossed them to the floor.

“I will never divorce you,” Andrew said angrily.

His voice was filled with rage.

I looked at him calmly.

“You should leave my room, or I will call the police and inform them of everything that happened,” I said, my tone was neutral, but he knew I was telling the truth.

Seeing the tension in the room, Mary stepped in.

“Andrew, let her rest. She is shaken by everything that happened. We will come back later to talk,” she said calmly.

Andrew hesitated, then finally left.

And for the first time since everything began

I was alone and at peace.

Andrew’s POVI knew I didn’t want to get into more legal trouble, so the best thing to do was settle the debts I owed my employees. The problem was that I didn’t have the money to pay them immediately. The only solution I had was to sell some of my properties. It was better to lose property than lose my freedom. I would rather start again from scratch as a free man than go to prison. Before the court date arrived, I sold two of my apartment buildings and used the money to settle all the employees I owed. It took a lot of time, effort, and energy, but in the end I managed to pay every one of them. After the payments were made, they withdrew the lawsuit against me.I was very relieved. The last thing I needed was to start going back and forth to court. Now I was sitting in my study, typing on my laptop. At the moment, I didn’t have a job anymore. My company was gone, and I was trying to calculate my remaining expenses and debts.Suddenly, the power went off.The room went completely dar

Andrew povIn those two weeks, I still tried to find someone who would buy the company. No one agreed. Not a single person. Now I stood in front of my company building as the bank officials finished closing it down.Workers moved in and out of the building, sealing offices and carrying documents.I stood there silently, staring at the building that once meant everything to me.I didn't know what to do.I didn't know where to start again.I just stood there emotionless, wondering where my life had gone wrong.Suddenly, someone approached me from behind.I didn't bother turning around at first."Did I not warn you to stay away from Stella?" the man said coldly.I immediately recognized the voice.Slowly, I turned around.Jonathan stood beside me, his hands in his pockets as he looked at the building."If you had stayed away from her, none of this would have happened," he continued calmly.Anger rose inside me immediately."What have I ever done to you?" Andrew POVI knew that when my friend told me to sell the company, I should have done it.A week later, when I came to work, the place felt wrong immediately. The reception desk was empty. The office that was usually full of voices and phones ringing was silent. As I walked further inside, I saw several staff members carrying boxes in their hands as they walked toward the exit. Some had files, others had personal belongings. No one even looked at me.No one greeted me.It was as if I didn’t exist. One of my employees suddenly stopped in front of me, holding a box in his hands."I worked in the company for half a month before I resigned, so I need my salary for half the month," he said firmly, adjusting the box in his arms.I frowned slightly, confused about why he was telling me this directly."We should go and meet the people in the financial department. They will settle everything with you," I replied calmly, gesturing toward the finance wing.He rolled his eyes as if I had said the

Stella POVI invited George out for lunch to give him back the job. I wanted him to understand that I was in full support of him trying to get divorced from Mary. That was the best thing he could ever do for himself. That woman is a witch.George came to my office to see me, and he was quite surprised that I had actually called him to come and see me. When he got into the office, I motioned for him to sit down on the couch, pointing my hand toward it calmly as I leaned back in my chair.“I was told you are going to get divorced from Mary, so I decided that it was the best time to talk to you. I want to hire you into my company,” I said, folding my hands on the table and watching his reaction carefully.“Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity." He began. "Yes, I have already filed for divorce, and Mary and I will be divorced very soon. It's just only a matter of time," George said, nodding slowly as he sat up straight. “I was told you understand that I was a good employee,

Andrew povI know that I should not have made June 9th angry, because now he was attacking my company and was making sure that nothing would be left of it. He bought the shares of my major shareholder, and now some of my employees are leaving because they were having rumours that the company was going to go bankrupt soon."Sir, don't you think this is the right time to apologise to Mr Jonathan? I know you must have offended him, but I don't think his dad has the right to make many people jobless just because of a small offence you committed," my assistant CEO advised me, leaning forward on the desk as he spoke. The truth is that I have called him to apologise, but he laughed at me. And when I tried to make an appointment to go to his company to speak to him about all that happened, they refused to let me in, and sometimes they would tell me he's not around.I know he's a busy man, but I also know he's avoiding me and he doesn't want to speak to me.I was the one who made this mistake,
