Chapter 48- Maeve's reward for Gabriel

“Sir, a parcel from Miss Millicent Binney.”

Gloria was all smiles, while she held out the big box with a blue ribbon to her boss, suddenly feeling her arm aching when he did not attempt to take it from her.

Maeve recalled Millicent Binney from her past life. She inherited one of the best private schools from her parents and was now running it herself. She was rich but not half as rich as Maeve and she was also pretty but Maeve felt herself prettier.

Sadly, she could not remember Millicent’s relationship with Gabriel back then, since she hated him and always tried to keep her distance from him.

Still, the fact that Millicent sent Garvin a gift could only mean she was one of the women chasing Maeve’s man.

She and Gabriel were still at the reception and she saw Gabriel smile, making her heart tighten in her chest a little. Before she asked why, Gabriel asked his secretary.
