Everyone went quiet, Jayden finished his blood and put the glass on the table nearby. He ran his fingers through his hair and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and jumped to his feet and bolted out the door. Jayden didn’t know where he planned to go, daylight was coming and he would have to find darkness. He wanted to turn to go back to the house but knew they would think he chickened out or something.
