Rowena

I woke up with a splitting headache and shaky fingers. I touched the back of my head, and my fingers came back bloody. Putting much of my weight on my elbow, I sat up to better understand where I was. Adjusting my eyes to the room, everything was still dark; either I had gone blind, or this whole room was designed with black furniture only. The scent that overpowered my nose let me know I was no longer in the Golden Pack territory.

Now, the better question is, where am I? And who has taken me? My only memory is of going to the clinic to see Casey and possibly persuade him to attend the Ceremony tomorrow night. Looking at my tied hands and feet, I never got the chance to make it to the Clinic.

“ Ugh,” I try to untie the rope around my hands, but the damn thing doesn't move an inch.

“ Don’t bother, the only way you are getting out of those knots is if I cut you out,” the cringe voice of Jessica says from the doorway.

Rolling my eyes at her, “So you're responsible fo

LukanWe've been in that room for hours, talking about how we can handle the situation that just presented itself, protect Lucian from the Council, bring the truth to light, and give justice to everyone they wronged. I can't let them get their hands on my brother or my mate. I need to find a way to keep them safe and myself in the process“ You need to stop it! This is not all on you,” Lucian said as if he could hear what I was thinking, as hard as I was thinking maybe he heard me. Still staring out the window, “I know, I can't help but think that I need to keep everyone safe.” “What about yourself? You're thinking about us, what about you? Who's going to keep you safe?” I could hear the fear in her words, and I hate that she had to feel this way. Sigh, who's going to keep me safe? That thought never crossed my mind. I was willing to sacrifice myself for their safety, but with her words echoing in my ears, I have to rethink my decision. I look around slowly, my Alpha power in the

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Test the Limit

Rowena I spend the entire day in the library researching about anything and everything that I can find about how to test the power of the guardian mark and so far I have come up with nothing in this regard, it wasn't a total lost I have found a spell that could strengthen our wards around the perimeter, after the rogue attack in one of ours weakest spot I knew I need to make the stronger. With Yara and Katie taken care of the office my mind was at ease, they know if they ran into any trouble to call, text or reach me through the link, that's how I'm able to sit here and waste my day learning and searching about everything that I can, these new powers I need to know their weakness, if the Council can break through them. By the time night came, I was ready to call it quits when I found the book that I was looking for. I quickly skimmed through it and found the words that I was looking for. I closed it and took the book with me. Walking down the hallways, I bump into Lucie. “ He

Lukan I stood near the tall windows in my office with my arms crossed behind my back as the moon reflected in the window, and I didn't turn when the door opened, and he walked in. I didn't need to. “You've been absent, “ I say calmly, “ from every meeting, the council briefing, patrol changes, even when I summoned you last week.” “I was still handling the restaurant business; this matter doesn't concern the Council,” Rich says, as a matter of fact. That got my attention. I turn slowly with my gaze locked on him. “ Everything that's happening in this pack needs my attention.” There was a pause between, a silence stretching thin. “ You’re my gamma,” I continued, “ I expected to see you in every meeting, no matter how big or small, when you start to disappear at odd hours of the day, there are questions I don't need to ask.” “I'm not a traitor nor did I betray the pack,” he says, between clenched teeth. “ I never said any of that,” I reply, “ but the way you are

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Behind my parents

Rowena They past few weeks havent been looking into my parents death, even after Yara hinted that my Uncle might be responsible for their deaths i still couldn't bring myself to look into it more until now, this moring i need to spend a few hours into looking things thats how i end finding myself in the very back of the old library, when i finally found a very thin filed almost hidden between pages like a forgotten flock. With shaking fingers, I open it, and my blood runs cold when I see there is a connection between their death and my old pack, Silvermoon. Somehow, my parents were looking into the Council for the way they were acting around her pack. They didn't like that, but then they stumbled upon the Silvermoon illegal fighting club they had going on, where they were taking boys from other packs, like Cassey, and training them to take part in those fights. I closed the file with tears down my face. “They were trying to stop them, is that why they were killed?” I whispere

Lucian Three days later The nights had been restless for me. That wasn’t new, but this time, it was worse. I was forced to face a truth I’d been avoiding: there was no way to fight this curse. No matter how much Lukan wanted to believe we could end it, expose the Council, and somehow undo generations of damage, I didn’t buy it. Nothing so deeply rooted could be broken so easily, not by hope, not even by a mate bond, not after everything we’d done to deceive the Goddess. Three days later, I stood by the window with a cup of coffee growing cold in my hands. I forced myself to hold it together for my brother, my sister, my parents, and the pack. I had already lost hope for myself. There was no reason to drag them into the storm brewing inside me. “That’s it?” I murmured to myself. “This is the end of it.” The room offered no answer. “The curse we’ve been running from is finally catching up to us,” I continued quietly. “The Council didn’t just demand blood; they demanded our

Lukan The next morning me and my wolf were both restless, the night were sleepless, so that morning before dawn i walked out of the house and into the forest letting the green trees swallow me, the quiet morning made it even better to get some fresh air to clear my mind, with no weapons, with no warriors just me and my wolf in nature, i need a moment to get my thoughts of the Council, the curse and the fact that my mate is going through her own struggle in order before i do something i cant take back. With an unsettled thought, the shift ripped through me like second nature, bones cracking, white fur exploded around me, and a big white wolf tore through the forest with paws, hitting the ground with strong force, spilling around him. This is what freedom feels like. Hours passed, the sun was hiding behind some trees before fully taking over the sky, I ran around the border, doing a perimeter patrol to make sure everything was in order, jumping over fallen logs, running after
