Ever heard the phrase "my heart skips an extra beat?" Mine skips multiple beats as we return to the pack house. I'm worried about Rowena's safety and how she could do something like that. Did Lucian say something that he shouldn't? So many thoughts run through my head, and they've done nothing to calm me down.

“ Did he say why she left?” I asked Rich for the tenth time since we got in the car.

From the looks he was giving me, I knew he was getting annoyed with me, and I didn't care; my thoughts were all on Rowena.

“ Turn the car around. We're going to the Silvermoon pack. Find a place to hide it,” Rich told Silas.

I'm guessing that's where she went, but why?.

It took us less than thirty minutes to reach the Silvermoon pack. Not to alert anyone, we parked the car far from the house and walked into the forest, where we found Lucian hiding and watching behind a tree.

Without looking, he says, “What took you guys so long?”
