Chapter 3746 Could It Be the Bad Guy?

Author: Five Generals
“How dare those men hijack the plane and take Kaze. They must be punished…”

Despite her grumbles, Snow grew anxious.

“Given Mr. Lee’s capabilities, he won’t be hurt.”

The agents around her tried to comfort her. They believed she was being too nervous.

“I know, but we as subordinates have failed him by allowing this to happen. We have to do our best to make up for the mistake, and not rely on Mr. Lee to get out because he can.”

Snow drowned in self-blame and regretted not being able to help.

It was her negligence that allowed the hijacking to happen.

“But there’s nothing you can do now. It’s late. Even the hijackers need to rest. They won’t do anything yet.”

“It’s because the hijackers need to rest that we have to hurry and beat them to it. That’s the only way to solve this matter!”

“But we’ve searched high and low and didn’t find anything. No one knows where they have gone. Even if they transported the passengers via buses, we didn’t see any tracks.”

Whenever Darcy was in danger, Kaze had always been there for her and supported her unconditionally. She often thought that she did not know her ex-husband well enough. Kaze might look like a normal person, with good looks and a tinge of violent behavior. One gaze into his eyes and anyone would be captivated. Yet his actions were a cause for concern. Everything he did felt so unreliable, which was exactly why people disliked him. It was the reason they got a divorce in the end. Darcy did not know if she was being paranoid. However, now, replaying everything in her mind, it all felt strange. She felt like she had been looking at the world through a flimsy piece of paper, obscuring the true picture. She recalled the first time she had met Kaze after they had divorced. Darcy thought Kaze would stay in Riverbank, yet they actually reunited in Westeros. He even appeared at the private club. He said it was for a job there, yet he helped her solve a major problem. If the empl

“I was away for two days and so many things piled up,” Darcy said with a sigh. She could handle the work easily, but the number of documents was staggering. “If you need to rest, I can go through them and then assign the task to the others. You can just have a look at them when they are done,” Luca said, offering help. “It’s fine. It’s going to take even longer if we do that,” Darcy said with a sigh. She did not seem to be in a working mood. “Ma’am, you didn’t rest well?” Luca felt bad for her boss. Darcy did not look like herself. In fact, she looked slightly slimmer. “I’m okay. I just haven’t eaten much recently.” She looked at the cake that Luca had brought her and suddenly felt hungry. She rarely had cake in the past as it was high in calories and sugar. Even if she had to, she would just take a bite. After being locked up for days in the basement, she finally knew the value of food. She craved more calories after experiencing the horror. She picked up the l

“Well, you two might be connected by blood, but she doesn’t care about that at all. How terrible,” X said. He was actually fanning the flames, and it worked. Cassey was fuming. “If Lyra wants me dead, then I’ll return the favor and make her regret this.” X was happy with the answer he got. Kaze’s plan would work. Cassey was deeply dismayed by what had just happened. He could not regain his composure after the shocking attack and was unable to think clearly. Lyra’s capabilities surpassed his expectations. She even found his hiding place and sent a hitman here to take his life. Although it ultimately failed, Cassey saw her determination, and he could not afford to be careless. In order to survive the upcoming attacks and take the entire North State, he must be ruthless and even stronger. Otherwise, he and his mother would die at Lyra's hands. Kaze got an update on the attack. It was expected and not a surprise at all. Cassey could not escape ‌his control anymore. He

It all happened too quickly. All Wade saw was a flash from the dagger and the movement of the killer. There was nothing he could do in time to save Cassey. X, on the other hand, reacted quickly by grabbing Cassey by the chair, pulling him away from the lunge. Cassey himself could not react in time either. He felt a powerful tug back and then a chilly sensation at his neck. When he held his neck, he realized it was already bleeding with a shallow cut on it. He had been a few millimeters away from death, and it shocked him. He widened his eyes at the cleaner who had tried to kill him. “Who the hell are you?!” Cassey shouted. He tried to get up, but X dragged him to the corner to protect him. “I’m here to take your life.” Mark knew he must take out the other two men first before going after Cassey. Just now was a great opportunity, but he missed it. Though he was frustrated that his slash missed, he had done his best. Shocked, Wade quickly retreated. He did not expec

The Westeros branch leader only helped out of courtesy. Wade was moved when he heard X and was willing to show more trust. X’s arrival helped them a lot and solved some of their problems. “No wonder he’s the Westeros branch leader. He doesn’t see a future with Lyra, but chose to work with us,” Wade muttered. He already knew Lyra had gone to Westeros seeking collaboration with the branch leader. However, she was turned down. Due to that reason, Wade was even more fond of working with X than before. “We just want to remain neutral and not be too involved. It was your branch leader who was generous. He just wants to return the favor, which is also why I am here,” X said subtly. The reason he was sent to help was because they received a generous gift. Cassey was not overly bothered, though. If the Westeros branch leader were a greedy man, he would have used money to make the first approach. He also knew that Lyra had spent hundreds of millions to get one meeting with th

“We don’t need cleaning in the operations room. You can go elsewhere.” The security guards in front of the monitors dismissed Mark, telling him to leave. “But my chief said I must clean here,” he answered with an honest smile. The security guards inside were baffled, but they did not suspect anything because of his honest look. One of the guards got up and opened the door. “We’ll clean the room ourselves. You are not needed here. Go clean somewhere else.” When the door opened, Mark was able to see there were only two men inside the room, which assured him. He quickly and quietly took out the security guard in front of him, dragged him inside before locking the door. The other security guard did not even notice the commotion behind him. He felt strange about the sudden silence, though. When he turned around, a pair of strong hands landed on his shoulder. Everything blacked out for him in the next second. Mark sat down and quickly inserted his thumb drive into the c
