Chapter 4555 Not the End of the World

Author: Five Generals
“That’s strike one. Don’t let me down again because I’m not giving you another chance.”

Julian let some frustrations off his chest after an angry tirade.

He could not bear the thought of missing out on a gorgeous woman. That was the only reason he swallowed his anger and gave Agnes another shot.

Agnes’ eyes reflected malice as Julian walked away. It was a shame that Agnes did not have connections in the area, and she had to settle with Julian.

Despite her disdain, Agnes had very limited options.

Agnes was after his influence and power.

“Why did Kaze have to show up? I would’ve gotten my way if not for him. Maybe things would’ve gone smoothly. Damn it. Why won’t he leave Darcy alone? Why is he everywhere?”

Agnes was annoyed as things were getting out of hand. She was not too pleased.

Darcy was rather rebellious, not even going with her plans. Agnes gave her an out, but Darcy refused to take it.

By taking Julian’s offer, Darcy could save the business and step into the W

Following the crowd, Agnes found Julian in the spacious living room. He was enjoying delicious food, tended by a beautiful woman. He looked rather slimy. “What took you?” Julian could not stand Agnes’ timid behavior. He would not waste time with Agnes if not for Darcy. “I got a little lost because I’m new to the place.” Agnes hid her embarrassment behind her awkward smile. She knew her decision was out of line, but she could not give up on the good opportunity. “You’re useless. You can’t get anything right.” Julian was still angry about what had happened earlier. Agnes stood there with an embarrassed grin. Her high heels made her feet feel heavy. Even so, Agnes could not take a seat without permission. She understood the consequences of upsetting Julian. “Sit down and say what you want to say. If all goes well, you might become my mother-in-law.” Julian stared at Agnes with a greedy look. He was determined to claim Darcy. There was no way he would back dow

“How do you feel? Are you alright?” Kaze asked nervously and went up to take care of Darcy. Darcy jolted up from the couch as if to find something. The situation struck Kaze as odd. He joined the search, but he had no idea what she wanted. “What are you looking for?” Without a word, Darcy kept fumbling around. She lurched forward and threw up. Kaze froze in place. He did not expect her to get so wasted and end up puking. He stepped forward to help her, but Darcy jumped up. With no self-awareness at all, Darcy started to act wild. “Why is the ceiling spinning? Whee.” Darcy stared at the ceiling, unaware of what had happened. She smiled cheerfully as if a burden was lifted off her shoulders. Kaze had no words. He did not even know how to help her. There was not a clean patch of floor left for him to stand on. He was not disgusted by the vomit. He simply did not know where to start. Darcy was not one to stay put. She wandered off around the apartment to search

“I don’t see a point in opening the door. We shouldn’t meet until you have figured things out,” Kaze said earnestly, hoping Buffy could see where he was coming from. It was time for Buffy to face reality and stop obsessing over him. “You should open up and offer me a drink. It’s basic etiquette,” Buffy uttered suspiciously. “I think that we should keep some distance for now. You don’t have to come over.“You should go home.” Kaze turned her down callously, his voice reflecting his resolve. Despite her disappointment, Buffy was not going anywhere. Darcy heard the noise and felt uncomfortable. She was fast asleep on the couch a minute ago. Overwhelmed by discomfort, she sat up. Darcy looked around aimlessly, finding herself in an unfamiliar place. She felt that she did not belong there. She started to look for anything or anyone familiar. Seeing Kaze standing by the door, Darcy approached him. “What are you doing here? Why aren’t you in bed with me?” Darcy picked up

“Who is it? What a party pooper,” Darcy uttered while sprawling across the couch. Kaze was pushed out of his space. He nearly fell from the couch. However, he could not get angry at Darcy as the latter got comfortable. Kaze looked at her, reluctant to leave her. The mood was just right earlier, and it was easy to lose themselves in the moment. “I’ll check it out,” Kaze murmured, ready to see who was on the other side of the door. After much thought, Kaze doubted he would have visitors in the middle of the night. Dwight had his own key anyway. Barely anyone knew his address. It could be Buffy knocking on the door. Kaze’s eyes reflected annoyance as he was lost for words. Buffy could not leave him alone, always harassing him. Kaze could not make himself any clearer, but nothing could get through to her. Buffy was giving hell to both him and herself. “Are you inside, Kaze? Open up.” Unconcerned about being seen, Buffy shouted without a care. She brought along

While talking, Darcy shook her head and sighed. Darcy could not understand or comprehend. Despite his intention to help, Kaze could not do much. She had always stuck to her guns, following through with her principles and determination. Even if Kaze wanted to step in, he had to do so behind her back. Otherwise, he would risk hurting her ego. Darcy was one who never wanted to be seen as weak. “Why is it hot here?” Darcy tugged at her clothes and unbuttoned her blouse. Kaze stared at the AC unit in confusion and confirmed it was turned off before snapping his head back. All he saw was bare skin. He quickly looked away, not wanting to overstep boundaries. Darcy was wasted. She had no idea where she was. The only thing on her mind was her discomfort. Feeling hot and restless, she wanted to tear her clothes apart to get some fresh air. “Why is it hot in here? I can’t take it.” Darcy took off her blazer, revealing the white vest underneath. She did not look as exposed.
