Chapter 11 Last minute arrangements
It was 8pm, Jacob and Sarah showered, and went to the kitchen. Sarah peeled some potatoes while Jacob got the oil heating on the stove.
They were going to nibble some chips before they got to bed.
Edith knocked at the door. She popped in to check how everything was going. And brought some fried lamb chops.
Sarah took the plate from her hands and set it on the table and invited her in. Behind her was her 3 year old daughter Aubrey. Edith and Aubrey sat on their bed while Sarah sliced the potatoes for Jacob to fry.
They talked a bit and then left.
After eating chops and chips with a variety of sauces they sat on their bed.
There was no television. What were they supposed to do.
Jacob went over and dug in his box, he pulled our a back of playing cards.
He said " lets start with 9 cards then we will go to something more exciting, I want to have you fired up for the next game".

Sarah always thought when ever things were going right, something would always go wrong.It was during her first trimester that Jacob had injured his lower back and was in excruciating pain. They had gone to the hospital and Jacob did a few x-rays. The emergency room doctor called them in and said that it was a slipped disk, c4 in his lower back. This had happened 5 years ago and he had to stay in hospital for a short time to recover.
