Vera's P. O. V
(Two weeks later) I worked mindlessly for a while, my thoughts going in no particular direction. Ever since my verbal beat down two weeks ago, Ray never came back. I wouldn't say I missed him, but he was the only one who persisted while others left, and that left its mark. I hardly ever went out and madam Deborah had to do all the shopping for fear that someone would creep up behind me and finally put that bullet in my head. I just wished I'd stop living my life in this constant fear.Ava Morgan. That was the name the old man in the company we visited had called me. Was that my real name? I would I know, I can't remember anything. But I couldn't stop thinking about it. What happened to her? Why did I look like her? I dried the last of my plates and rinsed my hands, cleaning it with a towel before leaving for the living room upstairs where an old computer was kept. A little rese
Ray's P. O. V My heart skipped a beat when I felt Vera's lip's on mine. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it but I couldn't deny the rush of excitement that coursed through me after that kiss, I almost touched my lips. " You smiled." I said, smiling as well. " You look Pretty.... No beautiful when you smile. Very beautiful." I said and her cheeks turned into a bright shade of pink. "Thanks." She said quietly, brushing her hair off her face, then wore a worried look. " What's wrong?" I asked, moving closer to her. " I don't k
Ray's P. O. V I woke up moments ago but was reluctant to leave Vera's side, who was still sleeping quietly. My thoughts went to last night, and I smiled to myself. Who could have thought that would happen? Not even me. A part of Vera's hair had covered her face and I carefully put them in place, my hands brushing her skin in the process. She stirred and her lashes fluttered. I stopped. I should wake her up, but I didn't want to. Half an hour later, Vera opened her eyes. Her gaze was unfocused for a while but soon it settled on me and, a light smile on her lips. " Good morning," I whispered. She nodded and lifted herself, not self-conscious and I liked it. " Good morning... how was your night?" She asked and I grinned. " Beautiful... Just like you." I muttered while twirling my hands in her hair. She pursed her lips together and looked in the direction of the bathroom.
Vera's P. O. V I slowly regain consciousness and I discover I'm in a moving car, sandwiched between two hefty men. My heart's pounding, but there's nothing I can do... I can't even scream, the roads are deserted, and am pretty sure this car is soundproofed. Very carefully, I roam my hands between my body and discover that the recorder is still with me. That's a good thing, at least for now. All I have to do now is to wait and see where I'll be taken to... And what lies in store for me there too. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's not good.... Ray's P. O. V Banging the door repeatedly, I yelled for help but no one came to open it. it's like they didn't even hear the racket have been making for such a long time. Frustrated, I kicked on the study table so hard it turns over and then sit on the floor, groaning out in pain. I'm sweating profusely. Right now, I need a miracle.
Vera's P. O. V "How could you?..." I muttered, my lips quivering. He snickered. " Oh... I could I not? I saw a chance, and I took it." He answered. " An entire family is dead because of it!! You ruined an entire family because of your greed!" " Now, don't say it like that. You know, I'm surprised you survived the ordeal. You should have just died like the rest. But since you did, it looks like I'm going to have to end you myself." He said and stood up, heading out. I was still crying. " You know you won't get away with this, right?" " Looks like I already did. I'll have to thank Ray for making it easier for me to find you before you caused any more harm." He answered, turning his head. " Ray...." I trailed off, then my voice came back stronger. " You're going to regret this... Am positive about that." " I'd like to see you try... From the grave." He
Ray's P. O. V I was stunned. I'm still stunned. All of it felt like imagination to me. Vera didn't just slip out of my hands, did she? I blinked rapidly and looked at my hands; she wasn't there. Then I heard a thud down below. Someone had fallen into the river below. It wasn't my Vera... It wasn't Vera; it wasn't... "VERA!!!" I yelled subconsciously. A hand pulled me back from the edge of the bridge but I trudged forward and fell on my knees. " Vera...." I mouthed, gasping and choking on my tears. The pain was overwhelming, threatening to swallow me whole. Sirens sounded from a distance but I was too distraught to listen. Hurriedly cleaning my tears, I looked below me and saw the voice recorder I had given Vera earlier. It must've fallen from her when she got out of the bridge. I picked it up and played it. My dad's voice streamed out. Hearing him admit to all of his past misdeeds brought even more te
Falling into River Tamar, Vera is saved by a gang of robbers who take her in. With nowhere to go and no one else to turn to, she becomes one of them. Life seemed to be nice to her until she comes into contact with Ray years later. Whatever it is they had hasn't died down, and it's posing as a big threat to Vera's new life, putting her in a tight spot. Ray sees Vera after years of believing she's dead and immediately works on getting her back. What he doesn't know is that Vera leads a new life now. One that is more dangerous than before. Will he find out? If he does, what would be his reaction? Can their love stand the test of time?? Find out in this new season of HATE ME.
Vera. I'm sinking. I know I am. I'm filling up with water and it's just a matter of time before my life slips out of me. I'm glad I'll finally be able to say goodbye to this cruel world. Then suddenly, I feel a pair of hands grab me, pulling me onto the surface. The cold air hits my face, but I don't want to open my eyes. I feel myself being pulled along, but I don't react. I should probably breathe, but my brain is too mushy to comprehend anything. So I shut down, slipping further into unconsciousness, hoping that this time, I die.... Coughing as I wake up, water coming out of my nose and mouth. Forcing my eyes open, I see two people in front of me, gazing down at me. My eyesight clears and I notice they're dressed in black. I cough a bit, trying to sit up. " Where am I?" I ask, but they look at each other. " Hello beautiful..." the guy says, his lips curled up. " What's your name?"
Vera's P. O. V I woke up with a start, breathing heavily. Another nightmare. Groaning slightly, I tried to sit up. Now that I've regained my memory, I thought they'd stop coming. I was wrong. I stepped out of the bed, placing my feet on the ground. All of my body feels sore. No thanks to the bed. I stared out the window. It's morning. Do I want to go or do I want to stay? I rose from the bed in search of the bathroom. I'm guessing I've found my answer.... After showering, I wore back my clothes and walked to the living room. There, I found Kira and Jeff counting money. Probably stolen. " Good morning." I greeted, still standing at the doorway. Jeff glanced at me and his face lit up with a smile. " Good morning. Sleep well?" I breathed out. " Not sure." Staring at the wads of money in front of them, I asked." You stole that?" " Hmm..." He m
