~Katherine

Bodies littered the floor like discarded puppets, limbs twisted, eyes wide in the permanent surprise of death. The last man gurgled something unintelligible before Lucien shoved his blade in deeper, ending the noise.

I stepped over a corpse, boots wet with something wet and warm, and let out a slow breath.

"Everyone clear?" Reid asked, voice gruff but steady.

Freya wiped a streak of blood from her cheek and nodded. Rosy was already reloading, cool and calm as always, like this had been just another Thursday.

Then Lucien’s eyes narrowed. “Where the fuck is the old witch?”

A pause. We all turned toward the corner where we’d last seen her, hunched over, face twisted in that maniacal grin, whispering her creepy-ass ‘Surprise.’

Gone.

Just gone.

No trace. No drag marks.

"Fuck," Rosy hissed, spinning on her heel. “She was the tracker signal. She had the goddamn device on her.”

“She played us,” Reid said, eyes scanning every shadow. “Led us into a kill box.”

“And we walked right in

~LunaAnd then… just like that I wiped my tears away, the weakness vanished.I straightened, smoothed my gown, and raised my chin, forcing the sting in my eyes to burn into something else, something sharper. My lips curved into a slow, knowing smile.“Oh.” My voice was soft, almost casual. “Then I suppose Thorne just signed his own death warrant.”I let my gaze sweep over each of them, lingering just long enough to make them squirm. “Now… where were we?” I asked, as though we’d been discussing nothing more than the weather, as though Marcel had never existed.“The fact that we’re on the same page is truly exciting,” Katherine said, her smile carrying that sly, dangerous charm she wore like a weapon.“Killing Thorne?” I tilted my head, scanning each of them,.Reid, Freya, Lucien, Rosy, Lorenzo before letting my gaze settle back on the self-appointed leader. “Do you have an actual plan?”A beat of silence.“Or…” I let my eyes narrow, voice laced with contempt, “are you planning to challe

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Where is Marcel?!

~LunaThe dim light overhead cast jagged shadows across the walls, stretching and twisting like restless spirits. My heels clicked against the polished floor as I stood by the doorway, watching him fight those shackles for the hundredth time as if sheer stubbornness could break forged steel. The heavy door groaned open, and two of my guards stepped inside. Their presence was always like a cold draft. One of them, a tall brute with eyes like black ice, spoke in a flat, almost mechanical tone.“You have guests.”My lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. Guests. That could only mean one thing, his people had finally crawled their way here. I glanced at Raven, who paused mid-struggle, his chest heaving, sweat glistening on his temples.“I assume your fellow goons are here,” I said lightly, as though announcing the arrival of my own old friends. “I’m sorry, but I’ll have to strike a deal with them in your absence.” I lifted my hand to my lips, kissing my index finger delicately, then pre

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Luna Must Die

~ThorneI stood by the doorway, silent, watching her. Elena moved around the room with sharp, deliberate motions, shoving clothes and weapons into a worn leather bag. She hadn’t noticed me yet or maybe she had and simply didn’t care. She’d made it clear earlier that she was going after Luna alone. No backup. No discussion. No me.Her focus was unshakable, but there was something brittle in the way her hands tightened around every item she packed, like each piece she threw in was another nail in the coffin she was building for Luna or herself.I’d been standing here longer than I should’ve, just watching.“Elena,” I finally said, my voice low enough to make her pause mid-movement.She didn’t turn. “Don’t start, Thorne.”“I’m not starting anything. I’m trying to understand why you think this is something you have to do alone.” I stepped into the room, closing the door behind me. “You’re not walking into a street brawl. This is Luna.”“That’s exactly why I’m going alone.” She zipped the

~LunaI fully applied the makeup, each stroke of the brush perfect, precise like a painter sealing their masterpiece. My reflection in the mirror smiled back at me, untouchable.I tilted my head, letting the light catch the shimmer on my cheekbones. Beautiful. Almost disarmingly so.But beauty was a weapon, and today, I planned to use it.Leaning closer to the mirror, I traced the curve of my lips with the deep crimson lipstick, slow and deliberate. The color looked like power. Like blood.I smiled.Lily slipped quietly into the room, her eyes widening just enough to betray admiration before she spoke. “You look stunning, ma’am.”I didn’t bother turning from the mirror, sliding the last strand of hair into place. “Keep the compliment,” I said coolly. “What about Raven?”“He should be awake by now. The sleeping pills have done their part, and… I had him locked in.” Her lips curved faintly, a touch of pride in her voice. Finally, I turned, meeting her gaze, and allowed myself a small,

  • HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME   Caught in the web

~KatherineThe SUV roared to life as we pulled out of the lot, engines humming low and dangerous like hounds off their leash. I sat between Reid and Freya, while Lorenzo took the passenger seat up front, giving off that usual I-don’t-care-but-I-control-everything aura.Rosy was driving aggressively.“Still tracking her?” Lorenzo asked, his tone cool but edged.“Yeah,” Freya replied, eyes flicking between her tablet and the street ahead. “She’s moving, though. Not fast. Looks like she hasn’t realized we’re on her yet.”“She will,” Rosy muttered. “Lily’s smart, just reckless.”Lucien scoffed from the very back seat. “So basically like all of us.”I smirked, but didn’t respond. I glanced at Lorenzo. His jaw was tight. Eyes focused. Hands folded like he had already predicted every possible outcome before we even left the compound.Enzo…I should hate him. Most people did. But there was something about the quiet violence under his skin, the way he didn’t raise his voice but still made the
