Olivia remained shaken by Richard’s recorded confession. The words played over and over in her mind: “I took you from the hospital because someone had already ordered your death.” For years she had interpreted his secrecy as distrust. The records showed a staff member signed in shortly before the call was made yet the name belonged to no one currently working in the hospital. Someone had used a stolen identity.
