CHAPTER two

Hearts 🔥(2)

"Oh! Thank God, Are you okay". 

Dad asked tori as she responds to him donning a weak smile. 

Eventually, I left, seeing my presence there wasn't needed, Tori watched me and afterward came in to meet me. 

"Are you okay sis?" She asked, veering my attention towards her, "I am okay" I had to make sure she believes that by wearing a huge smile on, but Tori was no child anymore, she pulls a step backward and tried to read the representation on my face "Hmm, okay!! I'll believe you but don't mind dad, he wants the best for us both". She lets out softly to me. 

My sister has always been the Daddy's Little girl, and mom's little princess, whereas I was good for nothing, partying diva, who got absolutely nothing to do with her life, so my parents think.

Not once have they asked me about my dreams, goals, ambitions, I don't even think, they still remember the day of my birth, but no worries, I love my family, and trust me I'll always be there for them most especially my sister.

" yes sis, I am okay". 

Twice I kept repeating the same words, Tori pulls me closer and hugged me. "I love you, sis, no matter what happens". She whispers to my ears, which smudge a weak smile on my lips.

(Lisa leaves the room, after a while).

The following morning, it was weekend, a lazy Saturday and I had this plan to stay in bed although the day and bench watch my favorite series, (Love and thorns) in the last episode, Sophia the main character of the story, took a fall for the man she loves, it crazy and trust me, I had no plans today than to lay down and watch till my eyes fall out of its socket.

Everything was set to start my show, from the TV, cable as been on, I was still on my pajamas after taking bath and lastly refreshments, popcorn, and milkshake, prepared by our favorite kitchen assistant, Mrs. Elena, (maid).

I took my position and laid down back on the bed when suddenly I heard mom scream. 

Without hesitation, I run out of my room and met her in a deplorable mood, her eyes were red and her hands kept shaking.

"Mom! Is everything okay?" I asked as Tori walks in and fall to the floor with a startled look.

It's been over an hour now and no one wants to tell me what the problem was, Tori kept on holding a piece of paper, whereas mom rests her back on the wall. 

"Mom! Tori, can you both tell me what the heck is happening, I don't understand, what's going on?".

I copied back my eyes to them and an inch close to yelling at them, as mom finally answered back to me. 

She says lifting her gaze to mine"I just got a call that your father was in an accident and his car caught on fire and burnt him to ashes".

It felt like the whole world stopped and it was left for me to understand what just happened, I dropped down to the floor shocked and if that wasn't enough, Tori gave another shocking news. 

"I also got a call from Juliana, dad's secretary, she told me that father, took a loan for over a million dollars from the bank and he hasn't paid back the money". (Tears roll from her eyes, as she continues talking, "she just told me that, the time for the loan to be repaid has elapsed and the bank is coming to take over everything dad owns".
