I had no intention of taking Sunny in the first place. My only wish is to connect with her. After what I’ve done, I know I have no right to take her.

I may provide for all her needs, but that’s not enough. Celine has more right to decide Sunny’s welfare and if I tell her I want to be with our child, she won’t agree.

Even if it’s just for a little while, I want to be with my child. I want her to know I love her when she discovers my stupid mistake.

“Does it taste good?” I asked Sunny after I gave her some ice cream while driving.

“Yes. I didn’t know the ice cream was really delicious.”

I frowned. “Haven’t you eaten ice cream yet?” I question curiously based on what she said, as if this was the first time she had eaten ice cream.

Sunny shook her head, then opened her mouth for another bite of ice cream. I scooped a spoon, then gave it to her without taking my eyes off the road.

“Did you just eat ice cream today or did you just eat this flavor today?” I asked again.
