CHLOE

Finaly it was the Beauty pageant day, Steph came to me inside my room. I sat on the edge of my bed nervously.

“ What are you still doing here? All contestant  are at the dressing room” Steph says. “ Comeon,you’ve got to get ready” She says to me.

“ I am so scared and nervous at the same time” I stood up and walk to the window.

“ What? ! You can’t be nervous and scared today? you have worked hard for this day? If you can be the overall best student in school definitely you can be the most beautiful girl in the school” Steph says.

“I am scared that if I don’t win people will turn me to a laughing stock, how will I ever face them, they will mock me” I said turning to her .

“ Think about yourself and forget all about they think”Steph says.

She held my hand and drag me out of the room, we walk to the dressing room, most of them are all dressed, our coach saw me and quickly came to me, she brought the clothes she help me get.

I quickly changed into a straight gown, All contestant began to walk to the stage, I was number forty two, I step out to the stage, I only try to have courage to step on the stage. While standing in a pose my eyes travelled around and I noticed Riley eyes was on me.

To everyone , I was there for Amanda but deep down me I was there for Chloe, I haven’t been able to take her off my mind since that night at the rehearsal. When she had not stepped out, I kept looking out maybe she would come out to the stage and when she stepped on the stage, she began the one all guys had their eyes on, there is an online group for the big boys of the school where we discuss our party life and the hot girls in school.

We picked five of the girls amongst us on the chat group debating on which of the selected girls was the hotest

Chloe got the highest poll, she was the only discussion on the group.

All the girls kept showing their beauty until they remained top five. Amanda was one of the top five but no one was talking about her.

They all were asked questions on how wise will they use the prize if they win.

Amanda says she was going to shop and look more beautiful.

Chloe says she will invest half of the money in a fix deposit so that when she is out of school she will began to run her business while she will visit new moms at the hospital who finds it hard to get few things for their babies and help.

She gave a brilliant answer and everyone clapped  for her. Two got disqualified and the runner up was called and it wasn’t Amanda,I could see the shock on her face, she got angry and storm off the stage.

Finally the winner was called and it was Chloe. Chloe was shocked she won. She was crown the most beautiful girl on college at that moment I thought of the upcoming prom that I would want her to be my Prom.

I can’t believe I won the most beautiful girl in school ,I was crowned while my mind went back to Amanda’s surname.

She is Sam ,I am Sam, could she be my step sister? I thought.

I try to cross my heart from she being  my stepsister and enjoying the win.

After the win, I went to the school website, I was being praised by some men but definitely not the girls in-fact they couldn’t hide their jealousy.

Steph was so happy for me, I got other cash prizes like laptop and brand new phones etc.

I called mom and show her how  successful I had become in school. I sent her some of the money even though she asked me to keep it then I did like I answered during my questions during the beauty pageant. I went to make a six years fix deposit with half of the money while I visited some small hospitals to help new mom with some things. I gave $4000 to the less privilege new moms.

After the winning, I sent message on the group that I am going to ask her to be my date for the homecoming, Homecoming  is in two weeks time and I want to be the guy to go with her to homecoming, you know what it feels like being with the most beautiful girl in the college.

Most of the guys on the chat group began to say how they want her to become their Prom but they are scared of  speaking to her.

I typed on the group that I will get her and make her my prom.

Then one of the guys decided to place a bet of $10 000 that whoever gets her takes each one $10 000.

I then typed that I will get the Chloe to be my my date.

The next day I sent an invitation to Chloe and she turn down my invitation. I try to chat her up and she declined my invitation.

I drove to her hostel very early in the morning after some days , I waited for her till she came down the stairs. I got out of my car and rush to her.

“ Hey Chloe, I…..”she didn’t let me speak before walking away. I drove following her. She stopped then I got out of my car.

“Hey,I want you to be my date for homecoming” he says.

“Why should I your bully be your date for homecoming?

“ I am sorry for everything, be my date,please? He says.

“No! She snaps.

“ if just for that day” I continued.

“ NO! You spoilt brat! You bully me countless times, you are never serious with your life, you Lack focus, I am glad I am opportune to tell you what you are today, you are nothing but a jack ass, I don’t want to be your Prom and I don’t want to have anything to do with you, stay off my path! When I take the right path, you take the left! She yelled out.

She walk away while I stood lost in her words, I began to hear laughter that was when I realized lots of students has gathered , they already have everything that just transpired between us on their phones.

Amanda crosses me with her car. She storm out of her car.She rushes to my car,I wined down the car.

“ What the hell as that? She yelled at me.

“ Get your car out of my way” I said to her coldly.

“ And what if I don’t? I hissed and wined up the car window. I waited and watch her display her anger, when she got angry she returned into her car and drove off.
