CHAPTER 3

Ever since naomi heard of his return,she never imagined herself seeing him talk more of staying in the same space and him talking to her. Maybe she was just seeing things. There was no way on earth lewis will actually talk to her.

“Nami…?what kinda name is that?” Ruth’s annoying voice broke through Naomi's thoughts and that was when she knew it was real.

Lewis stood beside Ruth as she clinged to him,on hand clutching his chest then the other one was clenching and unclenching. She glared at Naomi,the impact of the punch made her eyes red and swollen.

“Carl…” Ruth called his second name,hoping she'd get his attention and she did.

Lewis glared at Ruth,his nose flaring with anger,but he kept calm.

“Why did you call her NAMI? What kind of a name is that?” She questioned.

“Who are you?” Lewis asked after staring at her for one minute straight.

Ruth was flabbergasted,he just disgraced her in front of naomi, she'd make him pay.

“I…”

“NAMI? I'm talking to you, won't you do the honours of saying hi at least?” Lewis interrupts ruth.

Naomi stayed rooted on her spot,she was finding everything happening as an illusion but maybe it wasn't coz one minute she was standing beside andrew’s desk,then the next her back was pressed to the wall.

She wanted to talk,but she was too shocked and stupified, it was as if her brain was on lockdown at the moment.

“NAMI…you missed me didn't you? I'm sure you did and you're looking so hot unlike the nami of 5years ago” Lewis fresh breaths fanned her pretty face and she began sweating without knowing.

She hates feeling this way. She despised him and alot and she always wanted to kill him but she doesn't know why it was always difficult to think straight. She always looked like a fool whenever he was around.

She took a deep breath and opened her mouth to say something when the door opened and Silas rushed in. His gaze went directly to her side and when he saw the state she was,he moved there in an instant and pushed lewis away before punching him. His lip burst and blood came out.

Silas glared at him,he turned to naomi,his eyes doing the questioning.

“Let's get out of here Silas” Naomi finally found her voice.

She walked out as if staying here for another moment would ruin her or maybe it would.

“Stay off my boss” Silas warned lewis then rushed after his boss.

Lewis stood there like a lost fool,his fingers tracing his bursted lip. He took in the lips,wiping off the blood before facing Ruth who looked like she could burst anytime soon from anger.

“What was all that? You were fooling with her or what? I don't even understand you again. You're supposed to hate her,make her cry,give her immeasurable pains and let her taste hell while still on earth but you lost control when you set you eyes on her. Is something wrong with you? This wasn't part of the damned plan. If anything goes wrong,trust me you'll suffer for it!” Ruth bursted out.

Lewis didn't bother replying her. He took his gaze to Andrew who was still tending to his soft spot.

“You're gonna continue the partnership with her, it's not a request, it's a command” Lewis told him.

“Who are you to command me that way and why should I listen to you?” Andrew managed to talk back.

“You don't need to know who i am,and as for why you have to listen to me,you don't have a choice coz if you don't,i wouldn't just break your balls,I'll make your years of hard work perish,which you'd like. It's up to you to decide what you want” Lewis smirked at andrew's face before going out.

“Rew…I'm really sorry, we'd talk later on the phone,I need to attend to something” Ruth rushed out without waiting for an answer.

Andrew tried to stand up but his cock was still painful so he groaned and sat back down on the floor while cursing naomi in his mind.

[OUTSIDE]

The elevator opened and lewis stepped inside,it was already closing when Ruth ran inside too,standing beside lewis.

The two didn't say anything and the weight of their silence was heavy.

Ruth sighed, frustrated at this point. She faced lewis and ruffles her hair, scattering it and making her look like a starved witch.

“I deserve an explanation, don't you think?” She said.

“No…I think I do. What do you think you're doing,trying to get in her way. You think she's dumb,uh. I already told you to focus on the damn plan but then you keep messing things up” Lewis thundered.

“I can't stand her getting all bossy and rich,lewis you don't understand it. And what was all that back then,it wasn't included in the plan?” Ruth inquired.

“Well…it's gonna be fun seeing her lose her mind. It's a game and as a gamer,you ought to know your stand in the game and if you won't own the game…,destroy it” he dropped,a creepy smirk followed.

Ruth gulped fearfully before chuckling nervously.

“You're too dangerous” she managed to say.

“Dangerous is an understatement of what I am Sylvester” Lewis replied her and she kept quiet,thinking about he said.

All her life,she had never met a guy like him. He wasn't easily moved by anything and for him to say he was more than dangerous,then he his.

She needs to be cautious of him at this point in time and also she should tell her boss about what just happened.

Maybe,just maybe he'll show her his face.

Ever since they arrived,naomi had been locked up in her office,burying her head into her head into her laptop. Only her hair was showing off as she typed non-stop,Silas and caramel sighed from where they stood staring at her through the translucent wall.

“At this rate I think boss’s life ain't safe anymore” caramel said.

“What do you mean?”

“Ever since he came back…the bastard I mean,strange things keep happening. Just yesterday night,she was attacked at the underground garage and…”

“What?! Boss was attacked and you couldn't even inform me?” Silas exclaimed looking shocked.

“Where were last night? So I should wait for you before taking any decision concerning boss’s health,is that it? Silas sometimes you're really stupid” Caramel replied him sharply.

“I didn't say you should wait for me or any thing, I'm only saying that you should have atleast told me. And I'm not stupid, you're just the one thing north. We saw each other earlier this morning and you didn't even tell me? What the fuck is wrong with you?” Silas complained.

“Ohhh really, I didn't tell you,why should I anyways?you always make it seem like i’m forcing you to talk to me or something and I hate it alot. WTF do you think you are? Look silas,I hate when people get too cocky around me. If something happened,you should tell me,but no,you wouldn't,you had never and you call me your best friend” Caramel said.

“What? You …” Silas was taken aback.

“It's cool and by the way,you can always ask boss what's wrong with her. I don't even know why I talk talked to you in the first place. You're always so annoying, really annoying” Caramel hissed out,and went inside naomi’s office.

“She's mad now for real” Silas muttered to himself,looking lost for words as he stared at caramel.

[ALESSANDRO'S MANSION]

Bianca placed her head on alessandro’s head while he layed faced up on the bed.

She was drawing invisible lines on his chest and mummuring nonsense. They stayed this way not until Bianca suddenly raised her head,casting her husband a knowing look.

“What is it now woman?” Alessandro chuckled deeply.

“Say it” Bianca replied him.

“What…should I say?” He said amidst his chuckles.

“What's going on in that big head of yours”

“Wifey c'mon,what the fuck? Big head, seriously?” He laughed out.

“Yh big head…now don't avoid it and tell me what's wrong. Sandro,I know more than anyone earth,something is wrong with you and you're not fine. I'm your wife and you shouldn't keep anything from me” she said, becoming serious this time.

Alessandro stopped laughing and he sighed heavily,the weight of what he was about to say, weighing him down.

“I've been thinking about this since all this days, let's get cindy married” he dropped. He watched his wife's reaction carefully.

“You didn't just say that? Right?” She faced him,sh wasn't just shocked, disappointment flashed in her eyes.

“Honey,we have to get her married to someone. I know I'm not in any position to make decisions for her,not after what I did to her,but she needs to get married. She's twenty-five for heaven's sake,she needs to have a man in her life” Alessandro explained.

“Do you even hear yourself? Get her married,is she a property to you? Is our daughter something you can just use and toss aside? No. I made a mistake by listening to you back then but not anymore. My eyes are now clear. It'd be better for you to erase that thought from your head nowcoz you would regret it all your life” She told him.

Alessandro was speechless and dumbfounded.

Bianca’s phone rang out loudly, she picked it and a huge hermes formed in her lips when she saw the caller id.

“Look who decided to call granny today uh” she said as soon as she picked.

“Urrgh, you're always so dramatic granny,sometimes I think I'm your granny and you're my grandchild” A tiny voice,sounding a bit like Naomi filtered out.

“Oh my goodness lily, you don't even respect granny” Bianca said again,her cheeks almost tearing apart.

“C'mon ma'am,Lily respects you a lot,I hope scary grandpa isn't there” she whispered the last part but alessandro heard it anyways since it was in speaker.

“Really lily, I'm scary?woah” He replied her.

“No…you aren't. You're the best best favorite grandpa in the world” lily corrected herself.

“Yes…that's who i am” Bianca bursted out with laughter,same as alessandro.

“Granny,I called mommy but she's not picking my calls,can you help me tell her to call me,I wanna see her” Lily complained.

“Little lily,momma is always busy with works that's why she didn't pick your call,but don't worry okay, I'll try to call at night and you'll be able to talk to her. Is that fine?”

“Yes beautiful granny,throwing you hugs and kisses from here,bye bye I only wanted to hear your voices”

And she hanged up.

“Such an handful” Bianca muttered still smiling.

[Noon•A BAR]

Silas downed the 5th bottle of alcohol he was holding and he gulped,looking dead drunk.

He couldn't stop thinking about the shit that happened at work today. Caramel had never gotten mad at him to this point. He actually thought it was a joke when she told him not to talk her. Not till she actually left him standing and took another cab home.

She was the only girl he was close with apart from his boss,she was more than just a friend,she was everything and he liked her,no doubt about that.

He likes her alot,but he would rather die than let her know. Now, she already created a barrier between them and none of them cross over that barrier to meet the other. He was about to down another bottle when a pair of hand stopped him.

He looked at the hand,then straight the owner's face.

“You shouldn't drink this much,I don't know what happened to you but,get a grip on yourself” The person said, smiling a bit befire packing all the bottles to the bartender.

Silas staggered as stood up from his seat,looking like a ghost of his formal self.

“Do you…you…do you know me?” He asked the girl.

“No,do I have to know you before stopping you from destroying yourself?” The girl asked,finding him cute.

“No…no you don't. Since you want to help me,can you take me home…pls” Silas pouted like a spoilt kid.

“Uh…aren't you weird? You don't even know me at all and also,I don't know your house?”

“You can know my house now…come take me back home. My prince didn't come today, I'll make you my new prince” Silas continued saying all this gibberish till the girl tucked him in the backseat and got behind the wheel,driving off.

All this while,caramel stood behind a dark wall,seeing and hearing everything that transpired between Silas and the strange girl.

She was here about five minutes ago and just when she wanted to go in and stop him from drinking,the girl did.

She gritted her teeth and left the place angrily.

[LEWIS MANSION]

Water dropped from lewis hair as he strolled toward his closet.

He dried his hair,and picked his favorite colour of clothes,purple.

He rubbed balm on his lip to lessen the pain,when his phone buzzed repeatedly in the bed.

He went to check and his face went blank,turning real cold and murderous as he read. Anonymous Sender.

His eyes turned red and his vision blurred. His head was becoming fuzzy.

He texted ruth who replied him immediately.

*Why don't you ask her that?I don't know about any child seriously* Ruth replied.

He threw his phone back on the bed and walked to his inner bedroom or weapon room to be precise. He came out with a gun.

He checked the gun out and smirked. Now is the perfect time to kill her,she conceived for him and didn't tell him. How daring,to think he always had this uneasy feeling when he was outta the country,so this was it.

He'd definitely kill her today and no one would stop him.
