VINCENZO CASTILLO

The door creaked open.

A girl stepped in, balancing a tray in her hands, her gaze fixed everywhere but on me. She moved swiftly, kneeling beside the bed I was still tied to like some science experiment. My eyes followed her, but she didn’t glance back. Her silence was louder than her footsteps.

D*mn!. Another day had passed. Still no sign of the girl with the familiar voice.

She carefully dipped a cotton ball into a clear liquid and pulled out a pair of scissors. I just watched her.

“Hey,” I rasped, my voice low but clear.

She finally looked at me briefly, then returned to her tray, placing the damp cotton directly on my burn near the shoulder.

“Ah—sh*t! Hey, easy! "That hurts!” I flinched hard.

Her lips twitched.

Wow... She snickered. Well, she wasn’t mute after all.

“What’s your name?” I asked, watching her as she casually picked up the scissors again. No answer. Just a frown as she clipped away dead skin with too much enthusiasm.

“Ahi!—Cazzo!... I’m not made of wo

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    A WEAPON

VINCENZO CASTILLOAs I strolled down the dark hall, two of his men trailed ahead of me, their footsteps echoing against the damp walls. Water dripped steadily from a leaking pipe, and the old wooden staircase groaned under our weight as we descended. They didn’t speak. They didn’t need to. Every corner of this place screamed what Celestino was capable of. It wasn't new, we mafias operate this way.Another guard stood behind at the entrance, watching like a hawk as the rest of us slipped into a caged passage that carried us further underground. More stairs followed, steeper, narrower. Whoever designed this place wanted it to feel like a maze. One wrong turn, and you’d lose yourself before ever finding a way out. Classic mafia design, easy to trap a man, hard to free him.I shifted Camilla carefully in my arms as we reached the final step. Her weight against me was a constant reminder of why I was here, why I’d agreed to Celestino’s little arrangement in the first place. The moment my b

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    IN TWO DAYS

VINCENZO CASTILLOCelestino slipped his hand into his pocket, his sharp gaze locked on me. His face was unreadable: stone-cold, giving nothing away. That strange expression made it impossible to tell what thoughts were running through his head already."You see why I could bet my fortune on Vincenzo? Why I told you it was useless having you guard him?" His words were directed into the air, but I knew they weren’t meant for me.His eyes quickly flicked to Caterina. She still looked stunned, frozen between surprise and maybe fear. Her arms folded slowly, a defense she clearly didn’t feel inside."He wouldn’t have made it this far if you’d trusted me to stay with him, Papa," she fired back, but her tone was still trimmed.Celestino’s lips curved faintly, not quite a smile, more like mock amusement."I trust you, darling. But debating the obvious is unnecessary." His finger lifted, pointing straight at me. "A man will turn into a demon to save his woman. Vincenzo is already a monster. Sav

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    NOT GETTING BETTER

VINCENZO CASTILLOThe moment I freed the rope from my wrist, I stormed to my feet. The b*st*rd’s face twisted like he had just seen me fly through the roof. The second one didn’t waste time, he aimed at me instantly. My eyes never left Camilla, but my body moved on instinct. I flew midair, sending a kick straight into his chest.Punches were useless against him; I wasn’t here to trade blows. One strike was enough, his body slammed to the ground. I followed with another kick, this time to his jaw. His head snapped to the side, and he went limp, out cold. When I was sure he was out, then, my eyes shifted to the real problem, the main boss. His hand already pulled out a small knife, pressing it right against Camilla’s neck. Her eyes were wide open now, but I knew it wasn’t truly her anymore, not while Nero’s kiss was still swimming in her d*mn veins. She didn’t resist. She just stared at me, her pupils hazy. She's definitely caught between reality and a drugged blur. Her eyes flickered t

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    TWO STRIKES

VINCENZO CASTILLOThe moment the door clicked shut, I let the silence breathe. A full minute. Long enough to let the two dogs by the door believe I’d accepted defeat. Then my eyes lifted, locking on them one after the other.I’d already counted the minutes. I knew how long before Nero’s Kiss swallowed Camilla whole. I still had a window, small, but enough. Enough to take these hounds out, cut myself loose, and get to her before the drug burned her alive from the inside. She was still fighting for air, her chest heaving, lashes trembling. My chest clenched, but I forced the storm down. She’s a fighter. I know her. That was the only thread of faith binding me to sanity. The knife Caterina had slipped me was still tucked inside my shirt. My way out. My only chance. But unless these two bastards dropped, it meant nothing. I couldn’t reach Camilla if they were still breathing. So I did what we’re trained to do... what every man in the mafia learns early. You don’t wait for mercy. You make

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    PERFECT...

VINCENZO CASTILLO"What did you give her?” I demanded, my voice breaking against the rope cutting into my chest as my eyes darted toward Camilla.Sweat slid down her temple, her lashes fluttering without ever opening. She swayed like a puppet cut from its strings, her body trembling under a fever only she could feel.My glare snapped back at Celestino. Fury boiled in my veins as I thrashed against the chair, wood groaning under my weight. He didn’t move. He didn’t even blink. He just sat there with that calm, godless stare, as if he could already taste my dread.“How about, you guess?” His voice was silk dipped in venom. “It’s something I keep for women I want to watch unravel, spiral into madness, lose themselves, bleed out from the inside until there’s nothing left. But tonight…” his lips curled, “…tonight, it’s your turn to watch, Vincenzo. Consider it a gift.”My chest tightened. My head roared, hammering. No. No, he couldn’t have. My jaw clenched, but the answer carved its way th

  • HER ROYAL MAFIA    WORSE THAN POISON

VINCENZO CASTILLOThe air was thick, heavy, the kind of silence that crawled under your skin, until Celestino suddenly broke it with laughter. That ugly, grating laugh of his."Wait... did you really think I meant that, honey?" he mocked, his mouth twisting into that serpent’s grin he wore too well. "C’mon. You think I’d pick a slave boy over my own daughter? Don’t insult me, Caterina."My jaw clenched. Slave boy?. He had the audacity to throw that word at me as if I was still that same hopeless boy he kept under his wing ten years ago, and Caterina didn’t even flinch. His hand landed on her shoulder, slowly, claiming, like she was his prized doll.Something burned through me instantly. I wanted to rip that hand clean off him. He wasn’t worthy to even breathe her air, let alone touch her. She didn’t deserve this deceptive, crawling snake. But then her eyes flicked to mine. Sharp. Searching. "For a moment, Papa," she said coolly, "I actually thought you really would choose him over me.
