TRINITY

The great Alpha Nader and Luna Mira sat before me on their golden thrones. They stared down at me with two different emotions.

Alpha Nader has always been a leader with great wisdom and charisma. He stroked his chin while staring down at me with intrigue and wonder.

Luna Mira on the other hand stared down at me with disdain and disgust. It was obvious that they both took the news of their children's newfound mate in different ways.

Their sons stood behind me, their aura radiating from their skin and seeping into my pores. A shiver crawled up my spine, I could feel their gaze all on me, sizing me up with silent judgement in their eyes.

And it wasn’t just the triplets, but their parents as well.

I felt inferior in their presence. Each of them radiated power, pride and strength. And they did so in their own way.

I, on the other hand, felt like a nobody in their midst. Actually, I was a nobody. I shouldn’t be here, I did not belong here.

I am sure there has to be some sort of mistake. Could it be the work of some witch? Or maybe this was some kind of set up. There was absolutely no way that I was the mate of the alpha triplets. Who was I? A nobody, shunned by her own pack and treated as a misfit.

And I was.

I didn't even have a wolf, so how could it be possible that I was their mate?

I am sure this is all some misunderstanding. It just has to be.

Suddenly, Luna Mira covered her face and broke out in a light chuckle. “Oh, my goodness, boys, certainly this is one of your pranks. Enough of your antics. Honestly, I expected you all to know better than to pull such a move during the ceremony. You caused quite the mess and had the pack talking. Now I expect you three to go out there and clear the air.”

Xerxes stepped forward, his features stoic and unchanged. “Mother, you should know that I am not one to play games, especially during an event as important as this one. Believe me, neither of us are happy about this. But we just could not help it... it felt like our wolves had gotten minds of their own. All Daemon wanted was her.”

Liam stepped forward, his head bowed as he said, “I am afraid Eryx felt the same way. It was almost as though nothing else in the world mattered to him except her. I had lost complete control of myself when I saw her.”

All eyes turned to Nasir. He had his jaw clenched and eyes brimming with anger, but he knew better than to lie to the alpha and luna.

He sighed, “All Ren kept chanting was mate. Mate. Mate. He was overjoyed, I have never seen him that way before.” Nasir’s amber gold eyes turned to me, and I flinched at the intensity behind them. “And all for a useless creature such as this.”

Ouch.

“Watch your tongue! Even though she may be wolfless it does not change the fact that she is our mate, and you will accord her with respect,” Liam said curtly and Nasir let out a humourless chuckle.

He looked at his brother with disbelief. “Respect? For that thing?”

“Enough!” Xerxes growled, his icy blue eyes darkening as he snapped at his brothers.

Luna Mira shook her head with a roll of her eyes. “Just barely an hour after her return and she is already causing much ruckus. I believe what needs to be done is quite clear.”

The words that left her lips next had my heart freezing in my chest.

“Reject her.”

No.

That was the first word that came to my mind. Why was that my first thought? I mean that should be a good thing. If they reject me then I can go home and carry on with my life. So then... what was this feeling I had bubbling within my chest.

It felt like fear.

But that can't be right. I have been shunned and rejected by my own people. Surely, I can handle getting rejected by my mates. It was no big deal...

Right?

It did not matter what I wanted. They were going to do it. They would do so in a heartbeat.

But to my greatest surprise, they all stayed silent. Neither of them uttered a word, not even Nasir.

He was so vocal about his dislike towards me being his mate. So here it was, the opportunity to finally be free of me and he was hesitant.

Luna Mira’s lips curled downwards, and her grip on the armchair tightened. “Did you all hear me? I said reject her. You all have beautiful fiancés already, all of which are women of prestige and grace. You do not need this one. So reject her now so we all can carry on with our lives.”

Silence.

Alpha Nader was the one to break the silence. This was his first time speaking since we were all brought into the throne room.

Just as an alpha should, his words carried authority and intimidation. “You boys heard your mother. Reject Trinity as your mate. Now.”

To my surprise, Xerxes' words had my eyebrows shooting to the top of my head.

“I can’t do that, father.”

Alpha Nader’s eyes darkened, and Xerxes quickly added, “I just need some time to think about it. I mean, we have all waited for our mate for so long, and now that she is finally here, we are expected to reject her. It requires some time to think about. Don’t you agree, brothers?”

Liam nodded almost immediately. “Yes, I do. We should not make haste when it comes to making a decision such as this.”

Nasir’s eyes fell on me. I could not tell what he was thinking, but his words brought me so much relief. “Whatever.”

Alpha Nader rose to his feet, giving his final statement.

“Very well then, you all have one month to come to a decision. You either accept Trinity Ender as your mate or reject her and have her banished from the Crimson Moon Pack. Forever.”

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty: The Unknown and the Unwelcome

Xerxes’ POVI have always been one to enjoy silence, but not this time. This time, it was absolutely tormenting. The entire room was quiet. Too quiet.I stood with my arms crossed at the far corner of Trinity’s bedroom, every muscle in my body tight as the pack doctor adjusted his spectacles for the third damn time. If he does it one more time, I swear on everything I hold dear that not even the moon goddess herself could stop me from breaking those Liam sat on the edge of her bed, hands clasped between his knees. Nasir leaned against the wall, unreadable. Trinity was seated in the middle, her face calm, but I could feel the anxiety humming from her like a second heartbeat. The doctor cleared his throat. Again. He looked almost nervous, that couldn't be a good sign. The test he conducted either had two outcomes: He is an incompetent fool who couldn't find what was wrong with her, or he was competent and knew exactly what was wrong with her.And it wasn't good.Either way, I was losing

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 79: The revelation at the garden

Trinity's POV I woke to the empty stretch of silk sheets beside me. The realization hit me like a cybertruck, the warmth was gone and so was he.I reached across the bed anyway, fingers curling into the dent left by Nasir’s body. Disappointment tightened something in my chest. I didn’t know why I expected him to stay.Maybe because, for the first time in forever, I hadn’t woken up from a nightmare. Maybe because his arms around me had felt safer than any walls ever had. It filled me with so much comfort, I never wanted it to end.But of course, good things never last.I sighed, dragging myself out of bed. The early sunlight filtered through the curtains in lazy gold streaks. Everything felt too quiet. The hot spray of the shower didn’t ease the ache behind my ribs. My muscles remembered the way I had collapsed between my parents’ graves. My heart remembered too. When I stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a robe, I moved toward my closet, towel drying my hair with one hand. I was

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Seventy Eight: Shadows Behind the Crown

Luna Mira’s POVMy room glowed with golden light as the sun sank beyond the horizon, washing my bedroom in shades of amber and blood-red. I stood before the tall mirror, brushing my fingers over the embroidered collar of my ceremonial gown—midnight blue velvet threaded with silver crescent moons. Each stitch shimmered with the aura of power I’d earned, fought for, bled for. My makeup was done by me, no one in the blasted pack could do it to perfection, not like me. No one could do anything like me. My reflection held no sign of weakness, no crack in the mask. Only poise. Control. Purpose.Just like how it has been for years. And yet, beneath it all, something twisted in my chest. A nagging rage that wanted me to scream and destroy everything in sight. And it was all because of a single reason.Trinity survived.I thought I had hired the best hunters to bring me her head, but it seems they weren't as good as they claimed.I had seen it myself—her limp body in Xerxes’ arms, her skin u

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Seventy Seven: The Silence of the Library

Trinity’s POVThe royal library was a world of its own—tall, arched ceilings cloaked in silent shadows, the faint scent of aged parchment and polished mahogany drifting through the air like a comforting embrace. It was much colder here than in my room, and yet I felt oddly more alive. Surrounded by books with titles like Mystics of the Moon, The Forgotten Bloodlines, and Lunar Heritage: Gifts from the Goddess. Honestly it didn't feel like I was still trapped in a palace, rather in a world of paradise.Liam and I had spent the better part of the morning flipping through pages, piecing together fragments of ancient knowledge in a desperate attempt to understand what was happening to me. According to what Liam had told me, I killed a bunch of wolves with just a flick of my wrist. How was that even possible? Was I some kind of witch or something?I sure hope I am. I know a bunch of stuff I would love to do with the magical abilities of a witch. A small, evil smile lifted my lips at the t

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Seventy Six: The Luna’s Apology

TRINITYA strange sensation pulled me from the depths of unconsciousness, a dull ache radiating through my body as my senses slowly stirred awake. My limbs felt heavy, my throat dry, and for a few moments, I struggled to remember where I was. But then it all came back—the graveyard, the wolves, the blinding light, and the way my body had felt like it was no longer my own. What in the world had happened to me back there? What was that sensation? I let out a slow, shaky breath, trying to regain my bearings. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of lanterns casting flickering shadows across the walls. Everything was still, eerily quiet. But something felt… off.And then I felt it.A presence. My heart hammered against my ribs as my eyes slowly fluttered open, and when they finally focused, my breath caught in my throat.Luna Mira stood by my bedside. The scream that left my lips could shatter windows.I jolted upright, ignoring the sharp ache in my muscles, my instincts screaming at me

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Seventy Five: A Mother's Betrayal

LIAMThe sound of my boots echoed through the dimly lit halls as I stormed toward my mother’s chambers, my pulse hammering in my ears. I had never felt rage like this before—never felt such a consuming fire burn beneath my skin.I was always the calmest among my brothers. The rational one. The one who sought peace before war.But right now? There was no peace.Only fury. The guards at her door stepped aside immediately when they saw me approach, sensing the storm brewing inside me. I shoved the doors open without hesitation, the heavy wood slamming against the walls. My mother stood by the grand window, bathed in the moonlight, sipping calmly from a glass of wine as if she hadn’t just tried to have my mate murdered. She turned her gaze toward me, arching a brow. “Liam, what is the meaning of this?”I clenched my fists, stepping further into the room. “Why?”Her expression remained composed, but there was the slightest shift in her eyes. “Why… what?”I took another step closer, my brea
