TRINITY

The dream pulled me under as though I were sinking into the depths of an endless ocean. When I opened my eyes, I was back in the forest. Shadows stretched across the ground, cast by the towering trees that loomed overhead. The air was damp and heavy, carrying the scent of earth and moss.

I spun in a slow circle, my breath hitching as I realized where I was. This wasn’t just a dream—it was a memory. The night the rogues attacked me.

The growls began, low and menacing, surrounding me from every direction. My heart thundered in my chest as I turned, searching for an escape, but the shadows seemed alive, shifting and moving, hiding the predators stalking me.

And then they emerged.

Wolves, their eyes glowing with feral hunger, their teeth bared in snarls. They stepped closer, their movements slow and calculated, as though savoring my fear.

I stumbled back, the panic rising like a tide, threatening to drown me. “Stay back!” I screamed, though my voice cracked with terror.

They didn’

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty Four: Just Stay Away

Xerxes’s POVI’d never felt rage like this before. Not on the battlefield. Not during arguments with my brothers. Not even when my mother betrayed the one person I had begun to care about more than I should.Yes, I am well aware that I am starting to care about Trinity. As much as I hate it, I can’t deny it any longer. I’m not stupid. I never knew caring about anything would have me on my toes all the time. It was fucking frustrating. But this? Watching Trinity in Alpha Caelum’s arms—talking, smiling, her eyes lit with curiosity? It was a fire I couldn’t put out. My blood boiled with it. It clawed under my skin like something primal.I didn’t give a fuck what they were talking about, I wanted his hands off her. Now.Asides being an enemy of the pack, Alpha Caelum is also a renowned womanizer and pervert. And Trinity was falling right into his trap!My brothers were clearly pissed, I could tell from the way they avoided looking at our mate dancing with another man. But I wasn’t like t

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty Three: A Dance with the Devil

Trinity’s POVThe silence that followed Xerxes’s words to Alpha Caelum was deafening. You could almost feel the weight of everyone’s held breath hovering in the air like a ghost. The air was thick with anticipation and dread. Despite the grin on Alpha Caelum’s lips, I could feel the rage radiating from his pores. He was not going to let any form of disrespect just slide. And we all knew that. Nasir and Liam knew that as well. One could easily tell that they were more than ready to back up their brother. It was at that moment that I realized the music had stopped, even the servants present had a bead of sweat trickling down their heads. We were all seconds away from witnessing a potential blood bath. But thankfully, that doesn’t happen.Alpha Nader was the first to speak, breaking the silence that could have led to an all out war. I guess Alpha Nader didn’t want the peace he had just publicly declared to be over so soon. His voice was calm but sharp, like the edge of a dagger. “Xerx

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty Two: The Invitation

Trinity’s POVThere was something about Alpha Caelum’s eyes that kept replaying in my mind like a song I couldn’t shake. A melody threaded with warning, darkness, and something ancient. The way he looked at me during the alliance announcement… it wasn’t just curiosity. It was like he saw right through me. Or worse—recognized something I didn’t even know was there.I paced the length of my room, arms crossed, still dressed in the same comfortable clothes I’d been wearing when I collapsed into the library earlier. The day had been long, and I had spent most of it buried in books, hunting answers I couldn’t seem to find. But now, my mind was locked on Alpha Caelum and that unsettling energy radiating from him.Why would a man like him—a rumored tyrant, a war-hardened alpha—suddenly want peace? And why, out of everyone, had he stared at me like that?I was certain that I have never met the man before, but he looked at me like he knew me.I was still lost in thought when a knock came at th

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty One; The Man Beside the Luna

Trinity’s POVThe scent of old parchment and aged ink was the first thing I inhaled when I woke up.A book was flopped open across my stomach, another pressed beneath my cheek, and several others scattered around me like fallen soldiers from an all-night war I clearly lost. My neck ached. My lower back protested as I sat up, blinking sleep from my eyes. The dim morning light filtered through the curtains, casting golden shadows across the open pages.I sighed.Nothing. Still nothing.Every book I devoured in the last forty-eight hours had either skimmed over the ancient bloodlines or talked in circles around myths and legends that couldn’t possibly explain what I’d done at the graveyard. Not one mention of wolves with glowing eyes or energy bursts that could level a battlefield. And definitely no information about my parents’ deaths. Just more dead ends.I stood, stretching until my joints popped, and rubbed my temples. Maybe the answers weren’t in books. Maybe they were buried with t

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eighty: The Unknown and the Unwelcome

Xerxes’ POVI have always been one to enjoy silence, but not this time. This time, it was absolutely tormenting. The entire room was quiet. Too quiet.I stood with my arms crossed at the far corner of Trinity’s bedroom, every muscle in my body tight as the pack doctor adjusted his spectacles for the third damn time. If he does it one more time, I swear on everything I hold dear that not even the moon goddess herself could stop me from breaking those Liam sat on the edge of her bed, hands clasped between his knees. Nasir leaned against the wall, unreadable. Trinity was seated in the middle, her face calm, but I could feel the anxiety humming from her like a second heartbeat. The doctor cleared his throat. Again. He looked almost nervous, that couldn't be a good sign. The test he conducted either had two outcomes: He is an incompetent fool who couldn't find what was wrong with her, or he was competent and knew exactly what was wrong with her.And it wasn't good.Either way, I was losing

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter 79: The revelation at the garden

Trinity's POV I woke to the empty stretch of silk sheets beside me. The realization hit me like a cybertruck, the warmth was gone and so was he.I reached across the bed anyway, fingers curling into the dent left by Nasir’s body. Disappointment tightened something in my chest. I didn’t know why I expected him to stay.Maybe because, for the first time in forever, I hadn’t woken up from a nightmare. Maybe because his arms around me had felt safer than any walls ever had. It filled me with so much comfort, I never wanted it to end.But of course, good things never last.I sighed, dragging myself out of bed. The early sunlight filtered through the curtains in lazy gold streaks. Everything felt too quiet. The hot spray of the shower didn’t ease the ache behind my ribs. My muscles remembered the way I had collapsed between my parents’ graves. My heart remembered too. When I stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a robe, I moved toward my closet, towel drying my hair with one hand. I was
