Chapter 121

(Anastasia's POV)

Sleep was anything but peaceful that night. Haunted about Charles doing and I tossed and turned all night. Before crawling into bed, I had ripped up that f*cking paper and tossed it in the trash, the wedding invitation. But it weighed in on me, and I was drained.

My eyes were heavy as I walked into the bright light of the sun while opening the shades in my bedroom. I keep calling Charles but he was not answering any of my calls.

Deciding I should get changed and ready for the day, I get ready and exited my room. I've been avoiding Mom since yesterday. And I was surprised that Grandfather did not scold me for not being presented at the dress fitting.

He was more worried about the project that was postponed for the meantime, probably, because of that jerk Charles.

He made my Grandfather become a Lion, exposing his pangs to everyone. I believe Grandfather is having second thoughts about the marriage.
