Scott's POV.

She slowly gets out of my grip, rising from the bed. Her back is in my view, and my eyes feast on her curves.

I swallow hard, trying to control whatever urge is surging within me again.

“No, I don't want you to teach me again. I mean, don't we have a party to attend?” she reminds me, walking towards the bathroom.

I lay on the bed, exhaling, “you know the party can wait. We can even be late.”

She glances over her shoulder, shaking her head in a way that tells me she's not taking

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FIFTY THREE

Scott's POV.I watch Daniel's car zoom off with Claire inside it, and the more I stare at the car, the harder it becomes to breathe. My jaws are ticking and my fingers are curled so tightly into fists that I fear I may start bleeding any moment from now. What was the need for her to go with Daniel when we were both heading to the same direction? My chest tightens with a strong feeling that threatens to knock me out. I feel both anger and jealousy, and I badly want to put Daniel in his place. But I know better than to attack the wrong person. Claire is the one who chose him over me and that says a lot for me right now. As if on cue, the memory of me confessing my feelings comes to my mind, the replay now feeling more like mockery than a special moment. I wish I never told her how I really felt, at least I wouldn't be feeling so affected by her choices. It's clear she has eyes for Daniel, if not, she'd never have gone with him. And as much as I want her by my side, the last thing

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FIFTY TWO

Claire's POV.It's all beginning to make sense now. This is why he was acting all jealous earlier, because he's still entertaining Rose, and he fears I have the same intentions towards Daniel. How pathetic. The burning feeling in my chest doubles and it affects the rhythm of my breathing. A hard lump forms in my throat but I don't even bother to swallow it. My hands ball into fists as I watch Scott on the call. Scott’s expression changes instantly, almost like he himself couldn't believe what he's hearing. But for heaven's sake, he could as well be putting on an act.“What are you talking about? I don't recall having an arrangement with you. Don't even piss me off,” Scott warns her.But I hear Rose's next few words loud and clear. “You're so annoying sometimes, and I'm sure it's because you have so much work to attend to. That's probably why you forgot. Anyways, I'll be waiting for you, you know where to find me,” she says, and Scott angrily ends the call. But that doesn't erase t

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FIFTY ONE

Claire's POV. The look on Scott's face tells me that he's reading meaning into the scene in my office, and that makes me feel uneasy. He doesn't utter a word, and that in itself is already telling enough. Daniel’s gaze alternates between me and him, and I'm guessing he can also tell that Scott isn't pleased. So he does what any rational person would.“Um, Claire, I'll check up on you later. I'll be leaving now,” He says with an awkward smile before disappearing from the office. When Daniel is completely gone, Scott moves closer to my table with anger written all over his face. My hands starts shaking so I clasp them behind me while thinking of the perfect words to say.“What was that?” Scott queries in a cold, flat tone. I still can't find the words to say so I remain quiet.Scott shakes his head, “so this is what you do? Talking to other men while I am not around you?” Hmm, that sounds a little too possessive, but I try not to think too much of it. “It–it was nothing honestly.

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FIFTY

Claire's POV.Those words sound so unreal. I heard him say it at the dinner that night but I assumed it was just him in character. But here he is again, telling me those same words. I raise my head from his shoulders, my hands curling around the sides of his face, “you love me?”He nods, his eyes sparkling with so much sincerity, “you're the only woman my heart beats for. I'm sorry it took this long to say, but I don't think I want you to be just my fake girlfriend anymore. I want you to be mine.”My eyes water without will, and my lips curl into a smile as my heart palpates with the release of joy. Is this actually real? Is Scott really in love with me? It sounds like a serious dream. I stare at him with genuine confusion, my heart now racing carelessly, “Are–are you serious? You love me?” I ask, hoping he corrects his sentence, but he does the exact opposite. He presses his lips into a thin, determined line, “Yes. I love you so much that I even think it's unhealthy. I've been so

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FORTY NINE

Claire's POV. My inner thighs burn as he peppers kisses from my cheek down to my neck. “You clearly need another reminder that you're mine. And I'm more than willing to give it to you,” he whispers, pressing his lips against my jawline. I bite hard on my lips as Scott increases the pressure around my neck. He doesn't close it enough to kill me, but it's enough to have me gasping for air.And while I'm trying to breath, he crashes his lips onto mine. The kiss is possessive, hot and hungry. He's giving just as much he's taking and that makes my insides swirl with lust. My body arches into his, my nipples now growing sensitive against my bra.He releases his grip on my neck, loosening the buttons on my shirt with his free hand. He pulls the middle part of my bra away from my body and then releases it.“Mhmm, ahhh–” I whimper as the stinging feeling teases my nipples. Right after that, he slips his hand into my bra, and begins fondling my breasts. “Uhnnn…” I moan, clenching my thighs

  • HIS MINNIE MOUSE    CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT

Claire's POV.Later in the afternoon, we have a staff meeting and the new head of marketing is being introduced to us by Scott. While he introduces the guy to us, his eyes never leave me and while I find it uncomfortable, a part of me likes that I can get his attention in a room full of people. When he's done, he begins talking to us, and Daniel takes a seat beside me. “Wow, you smell nice. You remind me of my little cousin,” Daniel murmurs, taking me by surprise. My eyes dart towards him and I mouth a “thank you” He smiles, and I can't help but notice how nice his smile sits on his face. I return my focus to the meeting but then Daniel asks another question. “You were the one in charge of the previous marketing project right?”I shake my head in the negative, “I only assisted. I don't work in the marketing sector. I'm just a simple secretary here.” Daniel’s eyes widen with surprise, “wow, your contributions are commendable. Did you have any previous experience? I would never ha
