CHAPTER 5: The Billionaire Who Hate Me

last update Last Updated: 2025-07-24 02:02:25

Alina’s POV

I stood  in front of the tall black gates.

They were so high that they blocked the sky..

The mansion behind them was even bigger than I imagined.

It looked like a palace. It was cold, rich and quiet. It was nothing like home.

The driver opened the car door.

But I didn’t move.

I held Leo’s stuffed tiger close to my chest.

and It still smelt like him.

My heart felt heavy and my baby was in the hospital. He was all alone.

And I was here, in a stranger’s world.

No. Not a stranger.

Sebastian Blackwell.

The man who hated me. The man I just married.

I inhaled deeply and I came out of the car.

They were guards, dressed in black suits standing by the gate.

They looked at me, and I nodded once, and opened the gate.

They didn’t  even smile.

I walked past them and my legs were shaking.

A maid opened the big giant door. She wore a black black uniform. She didn’t say hello. She just turned and walked inside.

I followed her and my shoes echoed on the floor.

Everything inside was shiny.

The marble floors, gold walls, big paintings of people who looked important.

The lights above me sparkled like stars.

But this place didn’t feel warm.

It didn’t feel like a home. It felt like a museum.

The maid stops by a tall white door.

“This is your room,” she said without looking at me.

Then she walked away and I opened the door slowly.

The room was big, bigger than my whole apartment.

There was a soft white bed and a velvet curtain and fancy lamps.

But it felt… empty.

I walked to the window and looked out. and I saw a big garden, a big sky, but there was no life or noise.  Just like Sebastian.

I sat on the bed and I didn't know when I closed my eyes.

I didn't even know how long I would sit there. Maybe an hour. Maybe more.

Nobody came and not even him.

__

Dinner time.

A servant knocked on my door.

“Dinner is served,” she said and I followed her to the dining room. My hands were cold.

When I walked in, he was already there.

Sebastian.

He was wearing a black suit. His tie was perfect and he looked like a king.

He didn’t even look at me.

I sat at the end of the long table. It was too big for two people, it was too quiet and too cold.

Food was served, they were expensive food I didn’t know the names of.

I just looked at it.

He started eating.Knife and fork, it was fast and silent and I tried to speak.

“How is Leo?” I asked softly. “Did the doctor say anything today?”

And then I heard clang.

He slammed his fork down.

I jumped and he turned his cold eyes toward me.

“Don’t talk to me when others are present.”

My cheeks burnt and I glanced at the servants by the wall.

They stared straight ahead, and they just pretended like they were not in the room and they didn't even see what had happened, or heard how Sebestine screamed at me.

I immediately nodded slowly and I stared  down at my plate and I did not touch the food.

When Sebastian finished eating, he did not still take a look at me or say anything, he just wiped his mouth, and stood up.

He walked out of the dinning room without even a single word.

__

Later in the night, I walked out of my room.

I wanted to just feel alive, feel like myself and breathe well again, even if it would just be for only a second.

I walked into the living room and then I heard voices.

I heard a woman laughing and I quickly stopped near the doorway.

She was tall, and She wore a tight red dress.

Her blonde hair fell in perfect curls and she stood near the fireplace, holding a glass of wine.

Then I saw him.

Sebastian.

He was leaning on the wall, holding a drink.

His eyes looked tired.

The woman spotted me and smirked.

“Oh,” she said. “You finally brought her in?”

Her eyes scanned me from head to toe.

She was not smiling. She was judging.

“Is this the girl?” she asked him.

He took a slow sip of his drink.

“She is no one,” he said.

I felt like someone slapped me.

The woman walked toward me and her heels clicked on the floor.

She smelt like strong perfume and money.

She leaned close.

“So,” she said and smiled with fake sweetness, “you are the charity case.”

My lips went apart, and I couldn't say a word.

Sebastian said nothing.

He didn’t stop her and he didn't defend me.

She kept going.

“Don’t get comfortable, sweetheart. Sebastian only loves one person.”

She ran a hand down her dress.

“Me.”

My hands folded, and I was mute.

I turned and walked away very fast.

___

Back in my room, I locked the door and I sat on the floor and hugged Leo’s stuffed tiger.

Then, when the house was quiet…

I heard him.

His voice. Right outside my door.

He was on the phone.

“She is a liar,” he said. His voice was cold, and flat and my heart sank.

“I don’t trust her,” he added..

And there was silence..then…

“I won’t let her stay longer than a year. She will be gone before she thinks she belongs.”

She thinks she belongs.

I covered my mouth with both hands.

My chest shook and tears fell down my cheeks.

He really hated me.

He didn’t believe me. He never will.

He was only helping because he had to.

I turned off the light and got into bed.

I hugged the stuffed tiger as tight as I could.

And I whispered into the darkness….

“I will leave before that.

And I will take my son with me.”
