“Wake up, daddy! Wake up!” Emily shouted as she jumped on me, making me groan in pain. She was only a tiny thing, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t heavy. And the couch doesn’t help either.
I opened my eyes and looked at her, her toothless smile always making my mornings.
After we walked into the trailer last night, Emily brought Vanessa to her room and I laid on the couch as usual. She offered to switch with me, but Emily didn’t agree with it.
