Chapter 11- Cruel world

"Mommy?" Apollo wakes up in the middle of the night. She looked around to find his mom.

Felicity immediately pushed Jeremy and stood up as if nothing happened earlier, while Jeremy, on the other hand, fell to the floor.

Apollo squeezed his eyes as he sat on his bed. His innocent face darted at the guy on the floor. Felicity smiled awkwardly at her son, not minding the man who fell to the ground.

"Hey, baby,” she greeted, but Apollo’s eyes darted to the guy who was next to her mom. He looked at Felicity quizzically. “Why did you wake up? Do you need anything?” she asked worriedly. She caressed Apollo’s soft, milky cheeks.

“I woke up because of the light, Mom,” he said, then he looked at the person beside her mom. “Mommy, who is he?” he asked, pointing his fingers at the stranger.

Felicity felt like she was having cold sweats, while Jeremy was grinning from ear to ear to Apollo while waving his hand. “Hi.” Jeremy greeted Apollo. “I’m Jeremy Li, your mom’s –”
