LOGINThe plumber showed up at 11:40.
Chloe was at work. Elias was in his office on a call. I was the one who answered the door.
He was younger than I expected — early thirties maybe, broad shoulders under a faded work shirt, dark hair pushed back from his face, hands already marked with the kind of grit that didn’t come off easy. He looked past me into the house and said he was here about the upstairs bathroom leak.
I let him in.
Elias came out of the office long enough to point him toward the stairs, then disappeared again. The office door clicked shut. The low sound of his voice on the phone started up a second later.
I followed the plumber upstairs.
He set his tools down in the guest bathroom and crouched to look under the sink. The muscles in his back shifted under the shirt. I leaned against the doorframe and watched him work for a minute, arms crossed, the anger from the last two days still sitting hot and mean under my ribs.
Every time I closed my eyes I still saw Elias behind my mother. The same hands. The same low sound in his throat. The same counter.
“You need something?” the plumber asked without looking up.
“What’s your name?”
He glanced over his shoulder. “Marcus.”
“Marcus,” I repeated. “You married?”
He huffed a short laugh and went back to the pipe. “No.”
“Girlfriend?”
“Not currently.” He tightened something with a wrench, then sat back on his heels and looked at me properly. “You always this direct with the help?”
I stepped into the bathroom and shut the door behind me. The click of the lock was soft but final.
His eyebrows lifted. “Okay.”
I didn’t give him time to overthink it. I crossed the small space, fisted a hand in his shirt, and kissed him. He froze for half a second, then kissed back — harder than I expected, like he’d been waiting for an excuse. His hands found my waist, then my ass, pulling me in against him. He already smelled like metal and clean sweat.
I shoved him back until he hit the edge of the tub. He sat down hard. I straddled him, grinding down against the growing bulge in his jeans while I yanked his shirt up. His chest was solid, warm. I bit his collarbone and he cursed under his breath.
“You sure about this?” he asked, voice rough.
“Shut up.”
I got his belt open, shoved his jeans and boxers down far enough, and wrapped my hand around him. Thick. Already hard. I stroked him once, twice, then lifted up, pushed my shorts and panties to the side, and sank down onto him in one slow slide.
The stretch made my mouth fall open. Different from Elias. Not better. Not worse. Just different — and that was the point.
Marcus’s hands gripped my hips hard. “Fuck—”
I started riding him. Fast. Messy. The wet sound of it filled the small bathroom. I braced my hands on his shoulders and took what I wanted, eyes half-closed, every thrust a deliberate fuck-you aimed at the man downstairs on his work call.
Marcus recovered quick. He thrust up to meet me, one hand sliding up the back of my shirt to grab my hair. The angle got deeper. I moaned and didn’t bother quieting it. Let the sound carry. Let Elias hear it if the walls were thin enough.
“You’re soaking,” Marcus muttered against my neck. “Jesus.”
“Harder.”
He stood up with me still on him, turned, and bent me over the sink. The mirror was right there. I watched my own face while he fucked me from behind — flushed, angry, eyes bright with something ugly and satisfied. He gripped my shoulder with one hand and reached around with the other to rub my clit. The dual pressure built fast.
I came first, biting down on my own wrist, shaking against the porcelain. He followed a minute later with a low groan, buried deep, hips stuttering.
For a second the only sound was both of us trying to catch our breath.
Then footsteps on the stairs.
Heavy. Familiar.
Marcus pulled out fast and yanked his jeans up. I fixed my shorts with shaking hands. The bathroom smelled like sex. There was no hiding it.
The door handle turned. Stopped against the lock.
A knock. Then Elias’s voice, calm and cold in a way that made my stomach drop.
“Riley. Open the door.”
Marcus looked at me, eyes wide. “Is that—”
“My best friend’s dad,” I said. Loud enough to carry. “The one whose house you’re working in.”
Silence on the other side of the door.
Then, quieter: “Open it. Now.”
I wiped the corner of my mouth with the back of my hand, checked myself in the mirror once, and unlocked the door.
Elias stood there. His eyes went from my face to Marcus’s, then down to the obvious mess of the bathroom — tools scattered, the air thick, my hair wrecked. Something dark and dangerous moved behind his expression.
He looked at Marcus first.
“Get your shit. Get out. Bill me for the full hour.”
Marcus didn’t argue. He grabbed his tools in a hurry and squeezed past Elias without making eye contact. His footsteps went down the stairs fast. The front door opened and shut.
Elias didn’t move. He just stood in the doorway looking at me.
“You done?” he asked quietly.
I lifted my chin. “Not even close.”
His jaw flexed. For a second I thought he might grab me. Push me back into the bathroom and make me regret it. Part of me wanted him to.
Instead he stepped aside.
“Clean yourself up,” he said. “Then come downstairs. We’re going to talk about what happens when you try to punish me in my own house.”
He turned and walked away.
I stood there with another man’s cum slowly leaking out of me, heart slamming, the anger still burning — only now it had a new edge.
Revenge didn’t feel as clean as I’d thought it would.
It felt like the start of something worse.
I woke before him.Gray light was leaking around the curtains. His arm was still heavy across my waist, his breath steady against the back of my neck. For a few minutes I just lay there, cataloguing the aches — the dull soreness between my thighs, the faint bruise-tenderness on my wrists where he’d pinned them, the leftover heat in my face from everything I’d admitted the night before.I’d told him.And he was still here. That fact sat in my chest in a complicated way. Not relief exactly. Not safety either. Something closer to the feeling of standing on a ledge and realizing the drop hadn’t taken me after all.He stirred behind me. His hand flexed once on my stomach, then slid up to rest between my breasts.“You’re awake,” he said, voice rough with sleep.“Yeah.”“How long.”“A few minutes.”He made a low sound and pulled me more firmly against him. I felt him hardening slowly against the curve of my ass. Neither of us moved for a while. The quiet felt different from the night before
Elias’s flight landed at 8:40.I knew because I tracked it. I knew because I’d spent the entire day cleaning an already clean house, changing sheets that didn’t need changing, and rehearsing versions of the truth that all sounded equally bad. By the time the garage door rumbled open at 9:15, my hands were cold and my pulse was doing something uneven in my throat. He walked in with his bag over one shoulder and the tired posture of a man who’d spent two days in meetings. He set the bag down, loosened his tie, and looked at me standing in the kitchen like he’d been counting the hours too.“Hey,” he said.“Hey.”He crossed the space, cupped the back of my neck, and kissed me. Slow. Thorough. The kind of kiss that felt like checking for changes. When he pulled back his eyes searched my face.“You okay?”“Yeah.”He didn’t look convinced. He poured himself a glass of water, drank half of it, and leaned against the counter.“House smells like lemon,” he said.“I cleaned.”“Thoroughly.”I nod
Elias left early for a two-day work trip.He told me the night before, voice even, eyes steady on mine while he packed a small bag. “I’ll be back Thursday night. Don’t do anything you’ll have to confess when I walk through the door.”I nodded. He kissed me hard enough to leave my mouth tingling, then left. The house felt too quiet after the garage door closed.By noon the quiet had turned into restlessness. I told myself I was just bored. That the ache he’d left between my legs the day before was the only reason my skin felt too tight. I lasted until one-thirty before I picked up my phone.Jake answered on the second ring.“Didn’t think I’d hear from you,” he said.“Are you free?”A pause. “When?”“Now. And… I might not be alone.”Another pause, longer. Then a low, interested sound. “Text me the address again.”I did. Then I opened the conversation with Jenna.**Riley:** Are you working today?**Jenna:** Off at two. Why?**Riley:** Come over after. Someone else will be here too.She d
We stayed in bed most of the morning. Not talking much. Not sleeping either. His hand rested on the curve of my hip under the sheet, thumb moving in slow, idle strokes like he was reminding himself I was still there. Every so often I’d feel his eyes on me. When I looked back he didn’t look away.Around eleven he finally spoke.“Get up. Shower. Then come back here.”I did what he said. The shower was quick. I didn’t bother with clothes after. When I walked back into the bedroom he was sitting up against the headboard, sheet pooled around his waist, watching me with that same unreadable focus from earlier.“Come here.”I climbed onto the bed. He caught my wrist before I could settle beside him and pulled me forward until I was straddling his thighs again. His hands slid up my sides, slow, mapping skin he already knew by heart.“Last night I made you wait,” he said. “This morning I made you ask. Now you’re going to show me you meant it.”My pulse kicked. “How?”“You’re going to ride me u
Morning came slow and gray.I hadn’t really slept. The light in the guest room had stayed on all night like a punishment that didn’t need raising its voice. My body felt heavy. My mouth tasted like I’d been clenching my jaw for hours. Somewhere down the hall I heard movement — a drawer, the soft sound of feet on hardwood — then nothing.I got up.I didn’t put on clothes. He’d seen me naked the night before when he sent me up here. Clothes felt like armor I hadn’t earned. I walked down the hallway on bare feet and stopped outside his bedroom. The door was half open. I pushed it the rest of the way.Elias was sitting on the edge of the bed in dark sweatpants, no shirt, elbows on his knees. He looked up when I entered. His expression didn’t soften. It didn’t harden either. He just watched me like he’d been waiting for this exact moment and had already decided how it would go.I closed the door behind me.For a second neither of us spoke. The air between us felt thick enough to choke on.
The house felt different after he left.Bigger. Quieter. Like the walls were listening.I stayed in his bedroom for a long time, sitting on the edge of the bed in my underwear, replaying the look on his face when I said Jenna’s name. Not explosive anger. Something colder. More deliberate. The kind of anger that planned.Eventually I forced myself up. Showered. The hot water did nothing to loosen the knot in my chest. I stood under the spray until my skin turned pink, then got out and stared at myself in the mirror. Same face. Same body. Everything underneath rearranged.I spent the day moving through the house like a guest. Made coffee I didn’t drink. Tried to watch something and failed. Checked the clock every twenty minutes. Chloe texted around noon asking if I wanted to meet her after her shift. I told her I wasn’t feeling well. She sent a sad-face emoji and said she’d bring soup tomorrow. The hours crawled.By four I was restless in a way that felt physical. I cleaned the kitchen
