Mandy stayed around the construction site for the whole afternoon. After that, she went to the city and made her way to the hotel where she and the suppliers promised to meet.

Reaching there, she saw that the private room was empty.

Mandy guessed that they were putting on an act, for reasons she couldn’t know. She said nothing and instead ordered a pot of tea, and waited quietly in the room.

For four hours she waited, from noon until evening. Only by then did suppliers arrive. They came in as a group, referring to each other as brothers as they entered.

“CEO Mandy, please excuse us for being a little late.”

“These days, we’ve been very busy with our work. You too know that after the market price of raw materials rose, more people came to us for business. That’s why we’re not that free!”
