CHAPTER 7: You're Trouble

Today, I woke up pretty tired. Yesterday, I was soaking wet and went to campus drenched in water. I don’t even care about everyone’s look on me, I need to study. After I’m done with class Jayson was actually waiting for me.

Even Jennifer saw Jayson, he was waiting for me and then he insisted on dropping me to work. I thanked him and he just nodded. Today, I have to get the ring out. I don’t want to deal with him anymore so I have to, I must, I need to get it out. I supposed to get it out yesterday but I was too exhausted.

Today, I have class at noon until 3, after that I have to go to work now. It's 7 a.m now and my shift starts at 8. I quickly took a shower and wore a black skater skirt with a flower sleveless top and a white shoes. I curled my hair a little and put make up on.

I’m ready.

I walked out from my apartment and took a bus. After 5 stops, I get off the bus and walked to the coffee shop. I had some lovely customer that made my day. I love my job because I got to make coffee and interact with customer.

“Hi, Elsa!” I turned to see my favorite customer. She’s younger than me by 2 years and her name is Sierra. She’s so bubbly and she loves drinking coffee. She’s one of the person who always say that my coffee made her day. I’m glad it did.

“Hey, Sierra. How are you?”

“I’m good, can I get a hazelnut latte?” She said.

“Coming right up!” I said as I made her the drink.

“Elsa, your ring is so beautiful! Wait! Are you getting married?" She raised her eyebrows and before I could answer.

"Of course.” I turned my head to Baekhyun who appeared out of nowhere.

"So you're his fiance? Elsa, he's so handsome!" She whispered the last sentence but it was still loud enough for Jayson to hear. I ignored her statement and suddenly his mom appeared.

“Elsa!”

“Hi Sarah!” I smiled and waved at her.

“You’re lucky, El. He’s cute.” I gave Sierra her coffee and she thanked me. She ran out from the coffee shop and I turned my attention back to Jayson and Sarah.

I wanted to laugh at Sierra’s statement but I can’t since he’s here.

"Sarah, what brings you here?" I asked.

"Why I can't visit my future daughter in law working?" She said and I chuckled.

"Of course, you can."

"I want coffee, I need one so bad.”

"Of course, what’s your order?" I asked as I pointed at the menu.

"What do you think is good for me? I like coffee but I don’t like too intense.” She said as she scanned the menu.

"You can try the hazelnut latte." I suggested.

“Give me that one.” She paid for the coffee and I made it right away.

“You're so whipped, do you like her that much?" Sarah asked Jayson. Good acting, Jayson.

"You do really catch a spell on my son, Elsa." She chuckled and I nodded. I gave her the drink and waited for her to try.

"Do you like it? If not I can-"

"I love it!" She said as she took another sip.

"Really? Glad that you like it.”

"Thank you so much, honey. I need to go home now, see you soon." She said and I smiled nodding. She turned to Jayson.

"I'll pick you up after work, when will your shift end today?" He asked and I turned to the clock.

"When will you end your shift, baby?" I turned to him and raised my eyebrows after he called me baby.

"Eleven."

"Okay great, I'll pick you up after that." He said and I nodded. Sarah linked her arm to his and I waved at them. I like Sarah, she’s so kind and bubbly, I hate to lie about this. I feel guilty. I have to talk to Jayson about this.

"You're boyfriend is so handsome.” I turned to Cala and I gave her a small smile.

"I guess. "

"You guess? You have a boyfriend who is hot and rich. Do you know he got into a magazine once?"

"Yeah, I knew."

"How did you meet him anyway? You're such a lucky gir, hel even wanted to marry you." I wanted to laugh. Let alone marry, we can’t even be in the same room.

"Yeah lucky." I smiled.

After that I continued to work, customer kept coming. I'm tired and I haven't eat anything since yesterday night. My stomach growled and I sighed. Cala pointed at the door and Jayson came it. I turned to the clock and it’s already 11.

"Elsa, come on." He said nicely. Wait? Nicely not cold? I nodded and gestured him to wait as I grabbed my bag and took my apron off. I bid my goodbyes to other workers and walked out.

"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"What?"

"What do you want to talk about?" I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows.

"I don't want to talk about anything."

"So why do you pick me up? I thought it was just an act in front of your mom."

"Do I need a reason to pick my fiance?" He looked at me with an unreadable expression.

"I'm not your fiance."

"Well.. you wore the ring." He pointed

"You're slip it back!" Suddenly my stomach growled.

"I want to eat some food and then go to college,  you don't need to pick me up again, your mom's not here anyway." I left him there and I walked to the bus stop and thinking about going to the the uni.

I saw a bus coming and I stood near and ready to get in. When the bus stopped, I got in and sat on the 2 seats. I looked at my phone and suddenly felt someone sit beside me.

It’s Jayson.

"What are you doing?"

"Eating with you, do you think you're the only who need some food?" He raised his eyebrows.

"I- you can eat at a expensive restaurant of yours." I rolled my eyes.

"You want to company me?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Thats what I thought." with that he looked straight.

I looked at my phone and saw a text from Chance.

You wanna grab dinner together?

I smiled and read to reply him but Jayson took my phone from me. I looked at him, I reached my hand to grab my phone. But he put his hand high so I can't reach it.

"Give it back!”

"You are going to my parents house tonight because it's my dad's birthday, as a good fiance you have to attend." He said.

"No, I don't want to lie anymore to your parents, your parents is a really good person and I don't want to hurt them.”

"Too late you already did that so let's just continue the act, shall we?"

"No, I will get this thing off in no time so I can return it." I stood up and was ready to get off the bus because this is the stop to the market. Jayson stood next to me and smirked.

"I will pick you up at 6 today so prepare well, fiance." He winked.

"Are you sick today?" I asked.

"No."

"You're weird, and yet you act.. normal?"

"I am normal.”

"No you're not, you often act cold and annoying and-" Suddenly the bus stopped and my body stumbled but Jayson caught me by hugging him. My heart is pumping and I can even feel his heartbeat and it was the same beat. I pushed him and not able to look at his eyes.
