‘Hey guys,’ Michelle smiled, noticing their awkward glare at her. She forced a smile and tried to sound friendly, but the humor they gave made it uncomfortable. The evening was calm and silent, in a way it made everything feel slower – the soft rustle of trees, distant voices and the quiet hum of cars passing outside the estate.Laura walked beside Jace along the road, leading out of his villa.
