Adrian looked at men coming at him with absolutely no fear at all. He was ready to give them a fight. A man charged at him but Adrian punched him hard. It was so strong that the sound of a crack could be heard in the room. Now his expression was no longer blank. They were lethal, cunning, and sparkled with something very dark. Seeing how he easily beat their best fighter, they gulped and charged at him together. Adrian punched them and elbowed those who tried to attack him from the back. His moves were fast and lighted with ferocity. His eyes were narrowed as he took in the moments of all who tried to attack him, as his lips were tugged in a sneer just by looking at them. But then more men came, seeing how he was able to take over the few. This time they were successful in punching him, and hurting him but Adrian still didn't give up. He would step forward again to fight them. Getting impatient with him some men gripped his arms while some came forward and punched his abdomen again
Roman chuckled as shook his head. “Fine” he muttered as he walked back. He nodded at his men who came forward and stepped towards them. Adrian glared at them ready to fight, Natalie tried to step onward as well but Adrian raised his hand at his side stopping her from coming anywhere near. She could feel the rage radiating off him. And didn’t push it anymore. Then again the men started hitting him and he fought back as much as he could. But this time they brought iron rods with them seeing as he was not giving up. A man hit his back with the rod out of nowhere, Adrian shut his eyes tightly as pain spread on his back, but he did not even utter a word or groan. Natalie gasped and this time she did not remain standing, she couldn’t see him get hurt like this. She turned that man harshly and then punched him in the jaw. He fell back to the ground and glared at her. But now all the attention was on Natalie. The members of the Smirnov gang already hated her, and now looking at her guts
As they looked at each other all they could remember was last night, how happy they were, how it all changed in a snap of a finger. Flashback Entering inside he found Dimitri and Leonid playing chess while Natalie and Isaac both seemed to be having a discussion about something over the phone. Thomas and Timofey were no were to be seen, but their slight giggles and whispering could be heard all around the place. He looked at them and sighed, all of them, their safety was his first priority... Later that night when they went to bed, Adrian was slightly relaxed as they had now planned what to do next, and if everything went their way they would win soon. He closed his eyes sighing and relaxed. As he turned to face Natalie. He thought she was asleep already as she was silent, but she was looking at the ceiling thinking something carefully. It was when he wrapped his arm around her waist to push her closer to break her chain of thoughts. She looked at him with curious eyes since she h
"I gave it all and all you gave was sweet misery.." Roman watched her from the distance, her car was still visible. Just a little bit more before she reached that very spot. He smirked as just when her car reached the turn at the cliff. A click sound was heard and then it happened. A loud explosion sound was heard and the car exploded, bursting into flames. Roman chuckled evilly. Adrian's heart sank down to his stomach as the scene played in front of his eyes. His eyes widened as the fact sunk in that Natalie got caught in it. No this can’t happen. Don't leave me. NO NO NO NO. He yelled in agony as he harshly pushed away from the men who were holding him. He couldn't believe she just died right in front of his eyes. This was his greatest fear, losing her... his eyes were stuck to the car burning as he tried to go closer but his feet weren’t responding maybe because he knew that it was too late now. Then the car rolled down the cliff. His hands were shaking with fear, his eyes were
"And he was left with was a bruised heart..." Leonid stood in front of the door as he knocked on it. Isaac quickly stood up and walked to the door. He was worried out of his mind, Natalie was not picking up his calls, he got to know Leonid was abducted but he knew nothing about what was happening. He even searched around a few places but found nothing. He even called Adrian but no result. Dimitri too was worried looking at the ground and thinking deeply, he had a bad feeling, that something was not right. If Leonid was kidnapped Adrian would have gone to save him and since Roman didn’t know anything about them Adrian might be able to handle him, but now when even Natalie was not answering her phone it made him even more agonized, he knew how his daughter was and he just hoped she was fine, and everyone else too. Opening the door he found a bloodied-up Leonid on the door, Isaac looked at him worriedly and asked. "What happened to you? Why no one told us anything? What is going on
"Old scars don't fade so soon.." Adrian froze and the man walked up to him with a small smile on his face. "Missed me?" Dimitri and Isaac too took a look at the man and were blown away. They couldn't believe this was happening... "How?' Adrian whispered, he felt like he was hallucinating. He couldn't believe that right in front of him stood his uncle, who he thought died long ago. Maxim Smirnov. Adrian could see the scars on his face, the scars were the proof he was in that accident. But how did he survive and where was he all this time? "You survived? But how?—" Maxim came to Adrian and pulled him into a hug. Adrian hugged him back, even though he was happy that his uncle was here, that he was alive he still couldn't feel happiness, he felt her missing and that was something too big to overcome. Isaac too was astonished to see him. His father was very close with Maxim, he always told great things about Maxim to him. Isaac also knew that had he been alive his father wouldn't
Dimitri couldn't believe his ears, his sister, Mila was in love. She was pregnant too. His heart ached thinking how all her happiness was taken away in one moment. He was going to be an uncle, and a small version of his sister would be roaming around. Not only did she lose it all, but she also died very painfully... Adrian's eyes were teary too. Why did he ever help that man? Wasn't he the one because of whom he succeeded so many times. Why did he ever believe his father without thinking for himself first? He just was lost in the fact that he was his family. That his father must be right, he could have never thought that he was burning with envy for his own brother who actually helped him reach where he was today that he was so insecure about his position in the gang, that the post meant so much to him he could even kill his own brother. Adrian was ashamed of himself, he always thought twice before trusting someone. But he was blind when it came to his father. And now he lost her he
"Guess I never knew love how love knew me..." Roman was laying on his luxurious chair. Pride filled in his heart. He won. He won after all these years. The moment Natalie died he had won. He chuckled as he drank some scotch. He was the king of the mafia world now. Everyone feared him. They all called him the best leader of all. He killed his brother's murderers. He took Maxim's revenge. He chuckled as he opened his cupboard and got out that gun. The sniper rifle he used to kill his brother. This was where his story began. This was where he started to write his fate. He suddenly heard some commotion outside. He got up and walked out curiously. It was all peaceful now so what was this about. Then a man came running to him. "Sir Dimitri attacked us!" Roman's eyes widened. Didn't he kill him? "What the hell are you saying, you idiot! He is dead." He snarled at the man's face with anger laced in his voice. He shook his head in fear as he spoke, "Sir he is right outside. He is aliv
